"Drive by terrorism?"
I wasn't going to say anything, but now I will: Didn't we hear of such tactics being employed in the future? Given the proximity of the strike on Iraq, perhaps this sort of thing is beginning.
Watch your backs, folks. It may be local, but it may be not.
Pray for the victims and their families, y'all.

If this can be linked to the Senate stalling the Homeland Security bill....

The training video shows al-Qaida operatives practicing the following kinds of assaults:
using pickup trucks with shooters concealed in the bed of the trucks;
using motorcycles as a shooting platform for drive-bys and assassinations;
execution of prisoners;
ambushes of law-enforcement officers;
residential assassinations;
assassination on a golf course using a rocket-propelled grenade and rifle fire;
drive-up kidnapping of target walking on a street;
use of tunnels, storm drains and sewers for infiltration during urban raids;
rappelling from rooftops of buildings to make entry on upper floors;
use of motorcycles for grenade attacks;
raids on buildings with large numbers of occupants
perhaps schools or office buildings.
Hmm...This article was posted on Newsmax in September of this year. Sure brings up a lot of suspicions.

Yes, we did hear that. However, at least some of these people appear to be Hispanic. If Muslims were attacking, don't you think they would go for whites? It's hard to say, though. I'm afraid anything is possible. And it is right outside of DC, which would probably be a target.

There was something on the Al Qaeda training tapes about using pickup trucks and shooters.
