ALBANY - Top Democrats yesterday were using words like "disaster," "very serious" and "near fatal" to describe the damage to Carl McCall's campaign.
And many privately expressed the fear that McCall would be unable to recover from the stunning revelation of a raft of job-seeking letters he wrote on official state comptroller's stationery.

There is only one solution for the Democrats in New York! They must substitute Bill Xlintoon for Carl McCall! It is only fair to give the voters a real chance! ;-)
To: kattracks
Not to worry..if Carl starts tanking in the polls they can just pull a New Joisey Stand In and withdraw his name from the ballot and put Cuomo back up there....oh wait...Cuomo was polling low numbers too...well maybe they can put X42's name up there and we can have the stained couple in charge of our loverly state...JEESHHH...wake me from this nightmare.

[61] personal letters of recommendation on official stationery *****
Since when is this the issue? As this statement is written, it may or may not be kosher. The real issue is reminding potential employers that you control lots of their stock by virtue of your state office. That is extortion but what the heck. It is the Democrat way.

HAHAHA!

Looks like the Dems will have to pull McCall and put Papa Cuomo on the ballet.

Time for the RNC to just come out and say: Democrats=Sleaze
The Clinton Legacy in its' purest form.

The Dems may try, but nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills.

Let him keep walking. The dude is a time-bomb... slower thinking than Andrew but a good target.
The Clintons have a grenade in their lap. HA! I love it!!

Remember when they gave Watt the foot statue with a hole in it where he had supposedly shot himself in the foot? Just about time to give one to McCall.

I'm so disappointed. I was getting ready to send my resume' to Carl when this scandal broke. Wah-wah-wah. Oh well, he probably didn't need a dog catcher to keep Willie's dog off the street.

put Papa Cuomo on the balletI think you have hit on something there. If they could get Mario to perform a pas de deux, something from Swan Lake, perhaps with Teddy Kennedy, they could really change the focus of the debate, while at the same time staging a fabulous fundraiser. This will be HUGE in Greenwich Village!

These letters were part of a document dump to the State archive. When they started coming out, McCall pulled the documents out of the archive. Made him look guilty as hell.

Bubba showed his political acumen in forcing Andrew Cuomo out of the Governor's race. Bwahahaha!!!
To: kattracks
Interestingly enough the fact he wrote sixty one letters is getting very little play upstate.

"Carl has now been responsive; he put his letters out. Now let the governor be responsive and let him put his letters out," said Andrew Cuomo, who challenged McCall for the Democratic nomination. As if this Cuomo has any credibility left!!!!!!!
To: Behind Liberal Lines
Nobody Upstate would have voted for Carl, anyway :)
