[history]
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Despite some Democratic divisions, the Senate moved closer Wednesday to sanctioning war with Iraq with the introduction of a bipartisan resolution that gives President Bush the authority to commit U.S. troops. Continues.
The agreement reached between President Bush and House leaders on a resolution authorizing the use of force to topple Saddam Hussein ratchets the pressure on Tom Daschle, top Senate Democrat and leading liberal hardliner.

Every point is exactly right. I am going to print them out for quick reference!Those points could be refined and improved; they were the product of an angry steam venting, but I'm glad you like them.

Democrats= socialists and communists
They are all unAmerican .

Considering how close they came to the White House and that they gained the Senate, it's amazing how much marginalized the Democrat's spiel has become. None of their stuff matters anymore since the WTC911 wake-up call. The West Coast dock strike [all Democrat] isn't helping them at all. Keeping ANWR pristine as if it actually had nesting cranes and losing our retirement eggs has fallen on the Democrat side of the ledger. Endgame for Democrats?

Ditto.re #34. I am so glad you said nicely what I would have said, albeit less elegantly! Thank you for saving me the time.

Word-parsing. Rule-bending. Law-breaking. Seedy back-room dealing. Buffoonery. Treason. Political musical chairs. Disarray. Sleaze. Thank you, John! Scrolling through mainstream headlines on FR can wear a person down these days...20 "barf alerts" for every informative or patriotic essay, or even a "caption this." Perhaps if we could tag the left-wing "barf alerts" and choose not to receive them. Listening to Streisand, Clinton and co. is not uplifting, educational or helpful. It's depressing. So, thank you, John. We need more of your essays and far less of today's rampant leftist news bilge.
Thanks for the ping, Meekie. (^:

Great editorial, John...Hope you don't mind but I sent it off via email to several people.
You do a marvelous job when you write.

John,
You keep writing like this every day, in 137,000 years, give or take, you'll be a millionaire. Set up a matching program, 2 cents from everyone who agrees and admires what you say, well, maybe a day or two.
Regards
