Congressmen Jim McDermott and David Bonior have "MISLED" the American people about their Vietnam service.
During their Baghdad press conference, both McDermott and Bonior touted their Vietnam combat service, while calling President Bush a liar and praising Sadam Hussein's openness and cooperation.
Upon returning to the U.S., the two congressmen held a press conference and again highlighted their Vietnam combat service, as an obvious measure to boost their qualifications to remark on the horrors of war.
Following the news conference, McDermott appeared on MSNBC and once again clearly established at the onset of the interview that he had served in Vietnam.
And most recently, Major Garrett of Fox News reported that he had just talked with Bonoir and McDermott, and noted that both of them had "fought in the Vietnam War"
But easily available evidence indicates neither of them ever left the safety of the CONUS.
According to Congress Merge Online, McDermott's military experience is shown as:
Professional Experience (including Military):
Long Beach Naval Station, US Navy Medical Corps,1968-70
Private Practitioner, 1970-87
According to the Detroit Free Press (May 18, 2002), Bonoir's military experience is:
"...He enlisted in the Air Force after receiving his draft notice because enlisting meant he had more control over where he might be stationed; getting drafted most likely would mean being sent to Vietnam. He served in California in 1968-72 and earned his master's degree at the same time."
Why the press blindly buys off on what these two traitors say is incredible.
Just a couple of the standard journalism questions would show these two as the liars and traitors they really are:
When were you in Vietnam?
What campaign/service ribbons were you awarded?
Why are you lying about Vietnam combat service, when both of you spent your military time in the State of California ?
Just maybe someone from the press will see this and take the both of them to task.

HA!!
It's good.
After you had to sit through a court hearing today, do you think I'd turn ya onto something, "bad"?? :o)
"CCRM" is an acronym.
I'll let "ForGod'sSake" answer what the letters stand for, who "is" the CCRM, & what their mission is all about.
OK?
For God's sake!
The man's almost always around getting under foot, too!
Probably doing something gawd-awful mundane like earning a living, or something. ;^)
I suspect he won't be too much longer answering my *ping*.
Now then, about this most interesting comment, here...
"Go easy on me...I just sat thru' the New Jersey Court hearing and am feeling just a bit queasy."
Ohhh...I see.
New Jersey, ya say??
Torrichelli's New Jersey??
*That* New Jersey??
Fully understand your mindset twyn1; completely.
I (highly) recommend, "Mylanta Supreme."
My bride swears by it; &, don't forget she's got to live with me, y'know.
Works so well it's a damned shame ya can't smoke the stuff. {g}
...but, I forget the name of the junk for diarrhea; sorry. ;^)
Sure they can. They can be associate members or some such nonsense. Depends on where you are. The sole reason that I don't belong to the VFW is because after I was discharged in '75, a friend took me to the local VFW as a guest. The first two people I saw inside were two brothers who happened to be the sons of the lady that ran the local draft board. Both of them were healthier than me and both (surprise, surprise) were 4-F. That was enough to keep me away.
Anybody got a quote?
and I hardly ever hear those voices anymore ....
I agree 100%. From 71 - 73 I spent a year in the US and 21 months on a missile site in West Germany. I would never dream of even calling myself a Viet Nam era vet, though we both are. I salute those who REALLY served.

This really gets me p!ssed. I feel so much gratitude for my brothers that are in harms way, and am pinged with guilt every veterans day, knowing that someone somewhere is in a bad way protecting Our Country. ...and I just recieved my first retirement check for 22 years service. Not once was I in grave danger from an enemy force.
PX warriors used to catch all kinds of hell when they were found out. This is much worse.
These two need tarred, feathered, and hauled out of town on a rail.
And it is especially disgusting when someone constantly drops the fake "Viet Nam Vet" leadeing commentators to constantly say "so and so is a Viet Nam combat vet" and then hang back and not correct them.
This also goes for Jesse NEVER WAS A SEAL ONE DAY Ventura, who never got closer to SEALs than UDT, and never got closer to VN than the whorehouses of Subiv Bay in the Philippines.
WELL NEITHER HAS HE? WHAT AN ASSWIPE LIER!
TYPICLE DEMORATS
No good lying two-faced traitors.
