AG says two policies.

Present clear choice to voters.

Allow administrative process.

If clerks can orderly administer change, should let name be changed.

Pubs have no interest in whether Rats change their candidate.

(What a bleeping partisan).

This can't be a Pubbie ???: not a question of the other candidate's rights, rather a case of voter's rights, purpose of the statute is to give clerk's time to adminster voting process, they can remedy this by reprinting ballots etc.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

The DemocRATs forced Torricelli out and now they are complaining to the court that the voters don't have a choice.

It's like the Menendez brothers killing their parents and then asking the court for mercy because they are orphans.

I am a NJ voter and I voted for Torricelli in the primary (I have my reasons). I would not have voted for Lautenburg. What about my rights?

You've been disenfranchised, it's time to file a lawsuit, right now.

If clerks can handle the paperwork and the court re-writes election law, this may be "doable" - AG

Just before the judges issue a ruling, the RNC should file a motion to change lawyers and start the proceedings all over because the previous RNC lawyer thinks he cannot win the case as heard.

I like it!

Or, they should be forced to put up the no-name candidate who finished second in New Jersey's primary.

Someone posted that Torricelli ran unopposed in the primary. So, the Dems didn't give their primary voters a choice.

Which makes their screaming that NJ voters deserve a choice in November typical Dem hypocricy.

THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT INFORMATION IN THE RECORD! The Justice Nailed the key issue. There is No Evidence.

You must be tired Coop. Either that or on double happy sedation. Looks like neither of us get to win our bets.

One thing is for sure, the dead people in NJ are really restless.

What about color-blind absentee voters?
Or absentee voters who voted and have since died?
Or the homeless absentee voters who hopped a freight for the left coast?
Or the brain dead absentee voters in the hospitals?

"Voters have an "over-arching" right to have competitive elections..."

Someone needs to point out that the Dumb@ssocrats chose to run their primary with one and only one candidate who they knew was a crook. It's their fault and their fault alone that the general election will be "uncompetitive." That's what happens when a corrupt party chooses to support a corrupt candidate and doesn't look for alternatives.

One minority Justice just asked that if Torricelli's name is left on the ballot and he won, he couldn't serve, but could we interpret that as a vote for the Democratic Party and let the Democrats pick a senator? Even the Dem counsel couldn't say yes to that, but that is not a good sign. The GOP counsel just started speaking.
