Tony
Maybe it's to the point that if the Dems can't fix an election, they can't win one. Reminds me of how the mob runs the unions.....
That would be outstanding! Make it a national campaign commercial. Brought to you by....everyone BUT the Democrat Party
"The Democratic candidate pulled out of this race because he was going to lose. And in flagrant violation of the spirit of the law, if not the letter of the law, the Democrats tried to replace their candidate with one chosen by the party leaders, not the people. If you believe in a government by the people and for the people, send a message to Bob Toricelli and the Democratic leadership this November. Make your choice from one of OUR candidates. Thank you!"
Excellent idea!!
I agree wholeheartedly. The dem abettors in the media will spin against us no matter what we do. Time to stop worrying about perception and fight like they do...to the death!
I think it's worse than that. There is a criminal cabal, a mob racket that runs more than half the Govt. in the form of the Dem. party. They are tired of the nicities of elections and willing to subvert them.
It is analogous to the transition in Rome from Republic to Empire, when successive powerful Generals and leaders decided it no longer made sense to pay attention to the Senate.
Only in this case it's not the strong man but the entire Dem. party. Other attacks on voting have been the Carnihan debacle, Gore in Florida, the attempt to put Lanni Grannier into a position where she could move to weird outcome based voting schemes like the Naderites want, basic vote fraud in well documented places like Detroit, the inept bodering on lying coverage of the election by the TV Networks, the dumbing down of citizenry requirements, millions of illegals voting in California, etc.
As I pointed out at some point we are like the boy with his finger in the dike. Eventually if it keeps raining Democratic Vote Fraud they will get there 51% permanant majority and votes will be meaningless. In fact if they can get 51% living off of the top 5% based on Govt. payouts then it's a lock. Or actually, the R's have to go into bidding mode for the 51%. I think we are pretty close to being there.
I joined FR about 4 years ago to "Restore the Constitution" but Bush2 is a only a small speed bump on the race to convert us to a Socialist direct democracy or mock democracy of the Mexican sort.
Has all this Freeping and posting and kveching accomplished anything? OK, the Clinton Impeachment was huge, but ultimately it failed. I wonder if in 20 years we will look back at that as the high water mark in our attempt to save the Constitution, rule of law, an limited government in America.
The dike won't hold and the Socialist wave is going to drown the little boy GOP soon, sadly.
The Bush Administration has a bit of a track record in this regard -- If it weren't for the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, Bush probably would have gone through his entire term in office without ever setting foot in New York.
Or even mentioning New York in a speech, for that matter.
Exactly! The message to the people from everyone BUT the Dems is "Even though all of us disagree on a lot of major issues that are important to you, the people of New Jersey, we ALL agree on one thing...cheating is not an option!" The Democratic party ends up looking sleazy.
Well, the issues are somewhat different than in Fla, but there is some precedent about changing the rules mid-stream that isn't on point, but may be effective.
The bottom line is that liberals are shameless judicial activists.
I assume the strongest point in the GOP favor is the argument about the absentee ballots.
You know, if absentee ballots are delayed, voters may be disenfranchised as some will not receive them timely. However, if the ballot stands as is, voters can still vote for any candidate, including Lautenberg(sp?), via write-in. That's the real twist in all this. This ballot fiasco works for the Dems at the expense of the voters.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaagh, funny even if sickening
Hmmm I see a real interesting twist in the wind!
If the Repubs went to the Greens and The Libertarians and the Constitution party, Etc. and made a deal on Debates I think they could pull this off all across the country!
Broken Glass Anti-Democrats BUMP
Wrong approach -- What the minor parties ought to do is seize this opportunity and replace all of their nominees with Doug Forrester.
Exactly, I can think of examples as well. The IRS says I owe them $550 and I say I'll pay them $210, what difference does it make. Oh, and I'll extend the deadline for myself just to be fair.
As a result, their outlook for fundraising, matching campaign funds, etc. is brighter for the next election cycle.
