TRENTON -- Democrats chose former U. S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg last night to replace Sen. Robert Torricelli as the Democratic candidate for senator. Torricelli bowed out of the race Monday when it became apparent his questionable ethics would be the lone issue.

If this race turns into the reason the Demoncrats lose the Senate, then they can say that we not only have a Republican Presidency that was "stolen", but also a Republican Senate that was "stolen" - and you know the sheeple would repeat it over and over - "It must be true, I read it in the New York Times..."

Nothing the Dems like better than having "victim" status.

'I can tell you this," said Lautenberg, standing with Gov. McGreevey in the back yard at the governor's mansion in Princeton. "None of the energy, none of the vigor, none of the enthusiasm that I had when I stepped into this in 1982, has diminished."Let's be frank, Frank. Your demise began some time ago. The loss of your mind is all too obvious.

Torricelli is the one taking the choice away from the people -- Torricelli and his party, that is. If the democrats want to abandon their constituency, it is not up to the republicans to sit back and allow them to get the courts to stack the deck for them.

With a popularity rating continually over 60% for Bush, this has never stuck with the constituency. Only the Looney, Usurping Left buys into that line of crapola!

I don't understand the Dems drumbeat that the "People must have a choice". Many candidates run in uncontested races. Here in MA. Barney Frank is a prime example. No one runs against this guy.

Lautenberg can join those other mindless, witless and lifeless old people in the senate. The entire senate should be given til sundown to get out of town or be hung at sunup.

I can always find ways to OVER USE, but stay within a reasonable decorum of subtle quaintness, which is only
lightened by such precious hearts as yours.

According to John and Paul on WABC last night, Gephardt pitched a fit when he learned that they were going after Pallone. Seems Pallone's seat is not a safe Democrat one and Gephardt still has designs on becoming speaker come Jan. They said Pallone's family excuse was a cover.

Yeah, Pallone is usually in tough races. His campaigns are generally the most vicious in the tri-state area.

Not to be picky, but please put your part of the title in parentheses. Your title is brilliant, but I had to give the original website a hit in order to check their title, and I don't like giving them the traffic if they are liberals.

Take one look at this ass-hole's face and you know that at age 78 he could never withstand the rigors of either an election race or serving a six year term. The Demonrats chose this moron because they know he will either die during the next few weeks from a stroke or heart attack, or should he win, the victory party will probably kill him.
You heard it here first. Frank Lousenberg will die within six weeks. Wish I could be more precise and pinpoint the actual moment he turns in dead biomass, but rest assured, he'll never live to see his swearing in.
Then that two-bit crook of a govenor, McGREEDY, can appoint his own wife to serve out the term. Remember, you heard it here first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, look what I found on a liberal website:
Senator Lautenberg also captured the Jack LaLane You're Never Too Old Award for announcing that he will run for a fourth term in 2000. By the end of this fourth term Lautenberg will be in his 80s. I have no problem with that. In fact, Frank Lautenberg is a damn good Senator who has taken the leadership on key issues like gun control and tobacco. He's in great shape. It's just that back in 1982 when Lautenberg was running against Millicent Fenwick, he implied that in her 70s she may not be up to the riggers of the job.
The web site is called Caucus Educational and it is obviously liberal, because they think Lautenberg was a good senator and they cannot spell "rigors."
Also, all of Lautenberg's official papers are at Rutgers University. I bet there is some interesting stuff hidden there.
