A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 10/1/02

President Bush met with congressional leaders today to asks that they pass the Terrorism Insurance Agreement by Friday. Bush stressed the need to pass the measure so that 300,000 people could get back to work on $15.5 billion worth of projects that are on hold because of no insurance. The President also made it crystal clear that although an Iraqi inspection agreement is a step in the right direction, the Biden/Lugar resolution is just not strong enough. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura Bush was in Florida today to help promote reading. This evening, she is attending a fund-raiser for her brother-in-law, Jeb. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Well, okay. We lost our right to refuse to fill out the long form census questionnaire. The constitution says we only have to report our names and how many people live in the house.

NEXT?

Any advice?

Use carrots to inclose img src="URL of the picture".

Do you know how to get the URL of the picture?

Help me out anyone out there. If the Hollywood elite can raise in 2 hours 6 million dollars for the democrats, why can't they raise 6 million dollars for the elderly who are still waiting for their drugs (some are even choosing between eating food or taking meds) or why don't they raise 6 million dollars for the employees of Enron, Worldquiest, Global Crossing (get the point) and help reimburse their 401K plans? It seems to me in my very simple mind that if the ex president and the hollywood elite can raise so much money why not share it with the poor. After all how much money does one need when they die?

Why is everyone waiting for the government to tax the hard working American to pay for these social programs? I see it as very simple--donate the hollywood elite fundraiser monies as tax free money to the medicare program for drugs for the elderly. Surely Babs would be willing to come out of retirement for this, don't you think.

Any ideas out there? Hollywood can raise that money in no time without denting their bank accounts.

We lost the right to decide to whom we'd rent our homes.

Posting a picture from a websource is a lot easier than posting from your computer. You have to have a hosting website like PicturePoint or some such to place your photo, then you can use their URL.

Point mouse on picture. Right click. Click properties. Highlight the address (URL), right click and hit copy. Paste where you want to show it. Then add (img src= before the address and at the end of the address put ), except use brackets where I have parentheses.

Hope this helps.

type this in:

< img src=x >

Then right click on the picture you want to post, click "properties", select and copy the address (URL), paste it where the "x" is in < img src=x >, take the spaces out between the < > and that should be it.

First off, Assault weapons have been banned for many years. The problem we face is that the gun grabbers have grouped all semi-auto rifles together as Assault weapons. A true Assault Weapon is a Full Auto Machine Gun or Pistol. Semi Auto weapons are not assault weapons. What the gun grabbers have managed to do is label any semi-auto version of a military weapon as an assault weapon.

What needs to happen is a repeal of the Brady Bill and enforce the laws on the books before this intrusive and un-constitutional Brady Bill was signed into law. I'm all for a waiting period. and support the rejection of convicted felons to own firearms. Law abiding citizens should never be denied the right to bear arms. Convicted felons should be denied this right until they can prove they are no longer a threat to society.

The constitutional rights of law abiding citizens should always be protected. Convicted felons are a different story. I believe convicted felons should lose their rights until they can prove they are no longer a threat to society. To live as an american requires a commitment to the rule of law, and if a person chooses to ignore that commitment they should lose the rights so many patriots have faught and died for. Freedom is not a gaurantee, it's a commitment

For really important pictures, you can email them to a Doser who has a website to post them on and the Doser will then give you their URL to use.

As far as doctors--we used to charge a fee for our services. Government medicare started telling the docotrs and the hospitals how much they would pay for services. Then Teddy Kennedy brought in HMO and we got fixed rates. Now medicare dictates and the HMO follows and we work just as hard or harder and longer hours for less pay. We should have fought when we disagreed witht he price fixing but we didn't. Yes, give them an inch and they will take more. Never give in-as far as the guns make enforcing of the laws the way to circumvent problems.
