OMG.........Erskine Bowles is BEHIND 13 points.....do you think HE will withdraw now to 'save the Senate?'

In the .00004536% chance that this little gambit of the NJ RATS works, I think that the next day ever GOP Senatorial candidate who's behind by double digits should immediately withdraw and each state's GOP demand that a more popular person take his/her place. Turn the entire damn election upside down from coast to coast.

Double WHAT?.... Double barreled ShotGun?

Xanax. Though now Thorozine might be the medication of choice. Dare we imagine two Clintons in the Senate?

That is NOT what the Democrats in New Jersey are saying; they are saying that if Torch resigns, the governor can call an election in ONE YEAR and the new candidate who "filled" Torch's seat would run as an incumbant.

The Dems may think so, Jersey law appears to say so, but it's blatanlty Unconstitutional and an untested law.

Torch: "I apologize to Bill Clinton because I do not have his strength. I am only human."

Is he saying Clinton isn't?

The difference between "death" and "political death" is EXACTLY what I wrote about in my column this week on Sunday night. You are right that there are different results. Check the third link below.

Did I hear Torch say he is filing an action with SCOTUS to take him off the ballot? That is very, very odd. I doubt that 5 of them will find time to fit his emergency (and probably meritless, but I don't claim to know everything) petition into their busy schedule.

They should just let it roll. Let the voters decide.

Well, if the Democrats thought that rushing a vote on Iraq would get their "kitchen table" issues back in the spotlight, this just about puts an end to that thinking.

Wow. I hadn't heard that about Mink. These dems are really ghoulish aren't they? They're really into 'dead' politics.

Just last night, a lib friend of mine (yes it's possible) scoffed that we couldn't even beat a dead person (Carnahan). My other three friends and I immediately retorted:

"It's easy to to lose to the dead when they are elected by dead voters!"

They're wrong honey. As The Torch would say, just who do you trust, what the Dems say on the tube or Torie?

What's your take on this? First, what are the odds the Dems can get someone new on the ballot. Second, what are the odds Lautenberg, or another non-Bradley Dem, can beat Forrester?

My own guess is that this Senate seat is now 50/50. I will give the Dems a 75% chance in both the lawsuit and the election. It appears I was just wrong about Torricelli's chances of winning had he decided to keep running.

The problem is that we will have to see his ugly, arrogant, stupid face and parts of his speech the next several days.

GOOD! This is going to go down as one of the single most pathetic, repulsive, shameless, crybaby moments in the history of American politics! Every time any piece of that speech gets played on TV, a few more people are going to decide to vote GOP.

the "equal justice" clause would NOT permit this "disenfranchisment" of the military to happen...
We know that dems will try to violate laws, to keep power, even when they KNOW that their actions are illegal.

After all, that is what got torricelli in trouble in the first place... illegal activities to gain and keep political power.

When it all comes down to the wire... one seat won't save the dems... or two. We lose one or two, it makes NO difference in our power in policy making... they lose ONE or TWO... it is the freiggin end of the line.

Rather humorous to watch them self-immolate. Don't ya think? And ods are, they are only going to become more histrionic and crazed, as their date with "the green mile" approaches... WE aint seen nothing yet.

BY October 30, I expect full blown riots in every major city... and even blood shed. THEY want a civil war... to delay their exit from power. It won't. It is over. The joint-tirade against bush by daschle, gore, fiendstein and gebhart, are all the proof we need.

America was looking for someone to blame for 9/11, looks like they have decided on the Dems and Sadamned... and all thats left is the recording of their selection in the form of an election in November.

Exactly....the Torch may be cooked...previous cases were because of death or illnesses....NOT losing in the polls.....The Torch, himself said that his reason was to insure a RAT seat...this can be admitted in court.
