Sunday morning I woke and went to Micky D’s to get my husband a big breakfast and some other kind of breakfast food (I bought myself a large coffee).

As I waited in line behind 100,000,000 other people I looked to my left and saw three boys; I’d say they couldn’t have been older than 16 years old. Description of said white punks listed below:

Boy 1: Frizzed out hair, John Lennon glasses and a jacket that was infested with pins and patches. One of those patches read: “Anti-Flag”. (this set me off)

Boy 2: Blue hair, chubby and he had a top hat on.

Boy 3: Let’s just say my cat craps bigger stool than this little twerp.

So as I was waiting in line I asked Boy 1; “What’s up with that patch, Anti-Flag?”

He said; “It’s a band.”

I said “Are you anti-American?”

The punk said; “Yes”

I said “Why?”

To which he said: “Vietnam, WWI and WWII did us no good. America kills the innocent.”

At this point my blood is boiling and I’m ready to punch this punk in the face and my food order is soon to be picked up.

I said; “I don’t give a shit what you think. When you get a job; and start paying taxes and contribute something to society your opinion doesn’t mean shit. So take your 60’s peace mentality and shove it up your ass. If you three represent the future of America, it scares me, it scares me very much. You want to want to be “anti-American”, go tell your b.s. to a United States veteran who fought for the very freedom you have.” (….I wanted to go on but I had to pick up my order and leave. I got a “nod” from some guy waiting in line in agreement with my confrontation with this kid.)

At that point I picked up my order, they left and I made my exit.

Is this the future of America? Anti-Flag?

At 18 I joined the Army but never thought that I'd be sent to Vietnam. At age 19 years and 2 months I landed in country. I witnessed the Viet Cong massacres and atrocities and the press never mentioned them.

My job after about 6 months was transporting Viet Cong prisoners to interrogation from the prison. Each prisoner traveled with a biography and it was clear very few had any ideology they were forced into serving the Viet Cong at gun point. Each one had a story of incredible horror the VC did in the name of communism and all stories were unbelievable.

I saw the difference between the US and the communist and decided to study and found that this is how the left works as was proved years latter in Cambodia.

I think you mean republicans, i dont know any conservatives who wish to give their money away to government thugs. Being a conservative doesnt mean you have to support washington beurocrats just because they claim to be conservative.

My 2nd cousin is gay and has that flying from the front porch of his house here in (very rural) eastern NC.

I doubt too many people even know what it means here.

My Grandmother saw a bumper sticker like that and made the same comment. Ignorance is bliss, I guess.

There isn't a "conservative" in congress who does not enthusiastically support government theft of the fruits of free men's labors... provided it goes to support the programs THEY cheer for.

Being a conservative doesnt mean you have to support washington beurocrats just because they claim to be conservative.

As I said... conservatives quite happily support government theft for their own pet projects, and they're every bit as bad (perhaps even worse) than liberals when it comes to state subjugation of the legitimate rights of free men.

I just went to my cousin's wedding on Sat. night, and she and all of her friends are into the punk scene.

The VERY FIRST thing I saw after I parked my car was a brand new car, a Toyota Matrix.
On the bumper was a "Viva La Revolucion!" sticker with the famous Che Guevara portrait on it.
There were a few other Marxist-type slogans all over it too, I can't remember what.

I'm sure they are too stupid to appreciate the irony in that.

No, I didn't bring up politics MUCH.
It was my cousin's day and I didn't want to have to kick anybody's a$$.

I am a free man, because I recognize and respect the value of the rights of other free men.

Hey OWK long time no talk (haven't had much to say) I fully agree with you and am aware of your service. For anybody who wants to try a touch of the flame on me consider the fact that FRMAG is retired Army with 26 years of service. Think that counts as paying my dues to my country.

I admire your restraint don't know if I have that much self control but since I never eat plastic fast food I doubt I'll enter that venue.

Sounds like what my grandma would do if everybody in the family didn't know my cousin was so flamboyantly gay.

I used to like a lot of punk bands and other musicians that had a socialist, anti-US message (whose music I can't listen to anymore because it disgusts me)- the latest musician I had to put away was Ani DiFranco after I received a promo of the single featured on her new album, "Self Evident". I used to ignore all of the other political stuff on her albums, but this song made me sick to listen to.
