Yellow Rose of Texas As many of you may know Rosie has had serious problems with her back since her trip where she led the convoy across America to DC a few years ago. She has had to limit her time online but lurks when she can and thinks of us often. She faces yet another back surgery in the near future which hopefully will eliminate some of her almost constant pain. From Rose My prayer is that this DR has performed this complicated surgery before and can at least stabilize my back so my back stops stair stepping one vertebra and disk on top of another
a cure is beyond human reach, that would be God's territory
Alamo-Girl Our Alamo-Girl, keeper of the Downside Legacy, author of an incredable book on Missle Defense, and very active FReeper, got a positive result on tests she has annually. She has further tests on Monday and we are praying for a good report.

GOD is alive and well and answering prayers. My spine is not infected, but will take anterior and posterior surgery to fix it.
Every time I move, my vertebrae rub against each other as there is no disk there, all the bone taken from my hip and put there is gone, disappeared.
My surgery is scheduled for November 7th, 2002.The DR. said that it will be a long surgery as he has to get the scar tissue out of nerve roots with some tiny instrument and it is like using tweezers, just that part can take 1 to 3 hours. I am going to have brand newly invented cages replacing my disks instead of bone, and a special bone growth gel.
There are a few risks in doing this. The scar tissue is attached not just to the nerve roots but to the lining of the spinal cord. and one slip and it is punctured or cut.
Infection is the greatest risk as this will be my 3rd spinal surgery. I think that having no more back pain is worth it. The nerves in my legs will not be helped at this time by this surgery or any surgery, BUT, the nerves may wake up in 2 to 5 years or maybe not. That depends on a lot of factors one of which is the length of time I waited to have the original surgery. It has been almost 8 years that the nerves in my legs have been messed up, so I do not expect miracles, the fact that Dr. Peloza can stabilize my spine is a big miracle to me.
Thanks for all the prayers and best wishes,
Susie
