Yellow Rose of Texas As many of you may know Rosie has had serious problems with her back since her trip where she led the convoy across America to DC a few years ago. She has had to limit her time online but lurks when she can and thinks of us often. She faces yet another back surgery in the near future which hopefully will eliminate some of her almost constant pain. From Rose” “My prayer is that this DR has performed this complicated surgery before and can at least stabilize my back so my back stops stair stepping one vertebra and disk on top of another…a cure is beyond human reach, that would be God's territory”

Alamo-Girl Our Alamo-Girl, keeper of the Downside Legacy, author of an incredable book on Missle Defense, and very active FReeper, got a positive result on tests she has annually. She has further tests on Monday and we are praying for a good report.

It has been a long time since I posted, but you are both worth coming out of Lurking Mode to me. Please humbly accept my prayers for you both, and add them to those you already have received and so many more prayers on their way.

May the Lord Bless and keep you both. In this time of need remember the lessons of the poem "Footprints in Sand."

The single set of footprints is when he carrying you and your burdens.

[Alamo-Girl wrote] It was my hope to respond to each of you individually, but it appears I am out of time, since I must do a great deal of research yet tonight to be able to understand the doctor tomorrow (LOL!)

I don't think it's humanly possible for you to respond to each of the hundreds of people who are praying for you, and it's not necessary: we want you to be well. I would prefer that you take time for such rest and relaxation as you can get, to be with your family and friends, and to know that those who care about you do so unconditionally.

If God hears my prayers and grants grace upon you, then that is all the response to my prayers I could possibly want.

Be well, and go in God's grace.

Thinking of you and wondering how things are going bump.

Thank you so much for all the prayers, GOD answered my specific request as I think it was reasonable, and with so may asking for my good health, well, GOD does listen

I saw Dr. John Peloza in Dallas today, he can stabelize my back, but there are a few tests we have to do first, one is to make sure my spine is not infected, he thinks it has been infected since July of 2000 and is moving up. That is why the pain is getting worse and worse.

My mother and I leave about noon tomorrow for more tests, a MRI with contrast, and a diskamectory(sp). If the MRI shows infection.

My spine is narrowing and pinching off nerves so surgery will involve a front and back entry and recovery will be long and he says the pain depends on the medication and my attitude. Full recovery will take from 6 months to a year.

I may never be pain free, but at least it will not get worse over time. The only problems are keloid scar tissue in the nerve roots and scar tissue most of the way up my spine, and of course the narrowing of the spinal canal, but my nerves are totally pinched in only two places so far, and the stair stepping will stop once I have surgery.
