au revoir mon cher Angelique
A heavy heart

au revoir mon cher AngeliqueI have the truly sad and unenviable task of reporting the loss of a gentle lamb, and fierce patriot, our own dear girl, Angelique.
Simple words cannot express the profound loss I feel. To say I have lost one of my closest and dearest friends would be to betray my own feelings, I adored this girl. Her warm sweet childlike voice, contrasted with her signature feisty repartee, and unbridled humor made her a one-of-a-kind treasure. Her combative defense of her deeply held convictions, crossed many a sword with the best of her friends including yours truly, and her few if any enemies. She was a model Mother, daughter, sister, friend, patriotic American, Franco-American and staunch defender of the principals of a Free Republic, and above all FreeRepublic itself. Angelique said what she believed, with straight talk, a savvy humor and wit, but at times with a velvet sledgehammer ....tears, that was our darling French pastry.
Pray for our sweet girl, as I will, in hopes that she has found comfort and peace in His waiting arms.
pour toujours, mon cher Angel, with love......... Carlo

Thanks, carlo. I didn't know Angelique, but if she was your friend, she had to be special. May she look down upon all of us and ask the good Lord to welcome us, too.

I thought of her the other day because I missed her.... I wondered if we weren't just missing each other on threads, and I vowed to do a search for our sweet lady.
Now this sad news. I feel as though I've been punched in the stomach.
We all share your sadness Carlo. Life around here won't ever be the same without her, but Heaven rejoices.

What a wonderful tribute to your dear friend carlo. How proud she would have been to read your fine words. May you and Angelique find peace.

I am about to cry here.....I don't think I talked to Angelique much, if at all...but I recognize the name and I feel sad when any freepers die...though I don't feel sad when some of the Libertarians take a hike and go to another forum. But man, talk about sad stuff here.....
She is in heaven now, reigning with Christ in glory.

I am sorry to hear that. I recall chatting on some threads with her.
To: Angelique
Rest in peace, dear lady.

Life around here won't ever be the same without her, but Heaven rejoices.True so true...I am at a loss for words, trying to resolve this tragedy in my mind. I spoke to her almost every day putting the cookbook together. How much she loved FreeRepublic, and all of the folks she called her friends...wow she was so wise for an angel.

Rest in Peace, Angelique.
Although I didn't know you personally I knew you through your posts. You will be missed.
To: carlo3b
You must just carry on, Carlo. Finish the work you two started and complete the task. Anything less would grieve her. Clearly, she will be on the dedication page of our wonderful cookbook!
And just know there are many out here who share your grief.
Peace to you....

Carlo,
If you can find out from the family the year Angelique was born, and her real name, I can add her to the FR Memorial Wall.
To: carlo3b
May God rest her soul. I've lost a good sparring partner; I never knew her personally, but I am sure she has been taken to God's embrace.
Regards, Ivan

We laughed at every one of your post on the food threads, and again when putting them into the cookbook.I remember her flagging me to all the tinfoil threads. "Post the picture, pleeeaase!!"
One last time for you, Angelique.

So sorry to hear it. I remember she came over to the Lucianne alumni threads (now the Freeople threads) fairly early on to greet us. I also remember the sparring got a bit lively once or twice, but she seemed to be a good person, and your experience clearly bears that out. May God be good to her, and also to you and her family and friends.

This is such sad news. She's in my prayers.

I'm very sorry to hear this- didn't know she was sick. It's always sad to see a FReeper go.I was as close as anyone to this dear girl, and she never told me what was wrong, not once. Angelique was a unique Freeper, really one-of-a-kind!
