The Columbia, Missouri Support Our Troops Rally was extra special this morning. The Fresno FReep group has been posting our reports and photos for us for several months. They have done this out of the goodness of their hearts, spending hours with picky html codes and technical indecipherables. We offer them special thanks, and a debt of gratitude.

Our thanks to the Fresno FReepers for their support and work!
We have announced at the Locale that this was our first solo flight, and Zip has spent a great deal of time getting a good group together for support this morning, and succeeded in spite of a home Mizzou football game. As we kick off a new chapter of Infinite FReep, show-you style, join us in thanking Fresno and discussing the topics that free Americans have the ability and brains to tackle. Lets Roll, bash a few peaceniks, and send a message to our Troops and Veterans.
The weathers pleasant mood was interrupted this morning at the Columbia Post Office. On a normal Saturday morning, peaceniks gather to dishonor our troops and disavow all things American. The unusually tepid temperature was raised when a gang of Americans supporting our troops and our country interfered with the peaceniks view that they prefer unsullied. Prov's sign (JFK quote) using the liberal's own words against them mucked it up a bit.
The America-supporters numbers, for at least awhile, outnumbered the faux pacifists. This was a first for us and perfect to celebrate our solo flight! With spirits so high this morning, the discussions and conversations were extremely animated and passionate, as lively as the acknowledgements from traffic. A young, off duty serviceman was watching the commotion from behind a set of iron bars that separate the sidewalk from the parking lot. We are hoping he was encouraged by our discussions in which we tried to include him.
The peaceniks, always needing to feel persecuted and misunderstood, once again challenged DogRobber as he captured their Kodak moments for us. Why do we try to stifle their free speech? And, the burning issue on their minds today was, Murder is never justified. Hmmm, sounds like a good topic. What is the difference between say, the actions of a maniac orchestrating the killing 3,000 people caused by outrage for US foreign policy, and defense against such actions, which the peaceniks label retaliation. No more victims, no more blood for oil, no more military endeavors, their signs demand. Of course, there is no way to change the mind of a closed-minded peacenik, regardless of their claim to being open-minded.
A reporter/photographer was lurking at the edges of this mornings activities, snapping photos. No protest was raised at the reporter taking peacenik photos, as there was with DogRobber taking some. We all know what will happen to the reporters photos. So, guess what, HEY TROOPS, heres some photos you wont see in local newspapers around the country.

Bush's war? Remember Roosevelt's war?

Some gifts give themselves.

If our numbers keep growing we'll need a panoramic camera!

Same stuff, different day (year).

Reporter behind bars. Comments?

Way to go, Columbia (Missouri) FReepers!

Thanks for the Bump Snow. I was looking at the picture of the man with the sign that said "send our kids to Iraq to die? INSANE" (something like that).
That annoyed me, huge. It is so thoughtless and unconsidered.
I have told this story before, I will tell it again. Back in 1993 They tried to knock down the WTC. They made quite a mess of things that day.
I was very upset because just a short time before (I forget the exact date) my son was on a field trip to NYC with his elementary school class. I remember that he had to get up very early because the bus was leaving at about 5:00 a.m. It is about 200 miles to NYC from here.
When he returned he told me about the things that he had seen. He was very impressed with New York. One of the highlights of his trip that day was that he had actually been to the top of one of the WTC towers.
When I ever saw that bombing story I was chilled. I could not believe it. I was very distraught actually. I am still pissed that they put these aholes on trial in a Federal Court. That is insane. They should have been summarily executed.
I cannot imagine what my angst would be like if they had ever succeeded in their plan of destruction and murder on the day that my son was in that building. My heart goes out to all of the victims families of 11 September.
I do not understand these Politicians who have sworn an oath to defend the United States and it`s Constitution etc... What on Earth are they thinking?
Why are they so cranally rectally inverted?
There I go again, ranting.
Anyhow I do not know how to post to two thread simultaneously out here, so I posted here. I just want people to know that I have strong feelings about the entire matter.
One of these days I will have to talk with my son about his visit to the WTC, and if he has ever considered the possibilty that he might have been one of the victims too.

Correction on the report. The date was today, Saturday, September 28. Time flies when you're anticipating a peacenik bashing. HeeHee!
Also, FYI, the young FReeper in the black ball cap with a gold MU logo is a college student from the Young Republicans group. He gave up the football game today to attend. Fine example of our young folks! He is TheRightWingConspiracy. We just call him RightWing. We are excited he is back with us after the summer vacation.

Another outstanding effort from the Show-Me Freepers. Thanx Neighbors.
To: bluesagewoman
You all are making me feel guilty for not showing up.
I'll get out there eventually. I suppose with the police station right there, they'd take a dim view of me cranking out Neil Young's "Lets Roll" on the stereo.
Southern Boone County Bump! Thanks
p.s. If you have photo editing software, I'd bump up the brightness on those photos a couple of notches. Most look REALY good! Good Job!
To: zip
Hi Zip, I agree with you 100%, they do a great job and they are great leaders for the group. I know a lot of work goes into all that beforehand and after just so I can have the privelage of standing out there with them and everyone else who shows up. I'm proud to be associated with them and you.

Thank you for your musings. The peaceniks found our site last week and lurk here. We not only send this thread (via cyberspace) to our troops for their consideration, your comments also reach a lot of those agitators across the street in Columbia, and probably all over the country. They may be hard-of-hearing, but hopefully not completely blind. Rant and fire away anytime!

FReep vicariously here! If Missourians can't come the FReeps, the Freeps can come to the Missourians. Why not tell those peaceniks just why you don't like them?

Darn, pinged myself earlier. Just in case I do it again note: check pinger, brighten, and remember what date it is. Minor problems.
