I am thoroughly ashamed of these people. I have to apologise to you lot for the rubbish they spew.

Most are representatives from the "religion of peace" and the far left however.

Satan's familiars in other words.

Regards, Ivan

We know that Britain is America's only true ally. Every country has its share of lunatic fringe. These unwashed masses of protestors should go back to their home country and keep their camels happy.

One BBC report has stated there were 400,000 marchers!, another 150,000. Red Ken and the Met. estimated 150,000 also. The organisers predicted about 100,000 in a report I read yesterday (in which case 50,000 decided to stay in bed according to the Yahoo figures).

Have you got a more reliable upto date source for the actual numbers?

Don't worry about it; it's certainly not your fault! I certainly don't think they are representative of all your people. We certainly have plenty of our own kookoos. I can understand that there are conscientious objectors.(sp?)Many of them are principled. It's the others one can't be sure of.

I almost wonder that since Britain, and until 9-11, the US; haven't really had an attack on our countries for a long time. We have had some healthy scares, but no major attacks. I really think people have gotten terribly spoiled. They basically have rights; they can do many things within reason. They really don't know how to behave!

In both countries, the 'greatest generation', and also the "Vietnam" generation, have grown old. A lot of people now don't remember what happened in London back then, or Pearl Harbor here, and other places (Europe). I hope they never have to face a 9-11 on 'their' soil!

Even in Britain, from what I have read; a plot to crash planes into important buildings was foiled, thankfully. Then, you all lost 67 people too. The victims on 9-11 came from all over the place. You'd think that would wake these people up! But it hasn't. You'd think they would listen to the plight of the Iraqi people and their neighbors, and come stand for 'their' liberation and sovereignty! I guess not!

Only the people who were at the march need to apologize. Not you MadIvan.

No apology necessary from you friend! We have the same kind in this country too. None of them have ever had to sacrifice anything for their freedoms, therefore they don't value it as they should. Too much has been handed to the last few generations on a silver platter. It is now time to step up to the plate, and they expect the plate to be delivered by someone else as usual. You are a real patriot and a credit to your country!

Do we have any reading on what percentage were Muslims?

As far as I'm concerned, I want you to know that you, as an Englishman, should never be called upon by any of us to apologize for the nuts and flakes in your country. In a way, it's sort of a good thing that this happens. Allowing the scum to rise to the surface may open the eyes of many English and cause them to take a closer look at what's happening to their country. I think it will galvanize a lot of people to finally turn the tide. Being the eternal optimist that I am, and having faith in the inherent spirit of the British people as a whole, I have a feeling that your country, probably more than any other, has arrived at a crossroads, and what we're seeing now is the struggle over which road to take. Will the UK cast its lot with pan-Europeanism, or will it stubbornly regain and maintain its unique position as a bridge between Europe and the U.S.? Will it sell its sovereignty completely down the river? I think the next few years will answer the questions. I firmly believe 9-11 was a turning point for everyone, but the UK especially.

Don't feel too bad, Charles Lindbergh led mass rallies supporting the Nazis in the late 1930s.
