Laura Bush confident in Mexico-U.S. immigration agreement
EFE - 9/26/2002
U.S. First Lady Laura Bush said she was convinced an immigration agreement could be reached between Mexico and the United States, because their leaders want it.
Mrs. Bush, who participated in the 11th Conference of the Wives of Heads of State and Government in Mexico City on Wednesday, said, "I do see a solution to this problem."
In statements to the Mexican press made in Washington and published Wednesday in Reforma daily, Laura Bush explained she and her husband had lived in Texas for many years and have a special sensitivity for the problems of the U.S. Hispanic community.
"There are so many stories about immigrants and the children of immigrants in the United States. Our whole country is made up of immigrants who were able to overcome poverty and obtain good jobs. There are many examples in my husband's administration," the first lady noted.
Mrs. Bush acknowledged that the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks had set back the agenda between Mexico and the United States, but insisted that Presidents Bush and Fox "are going to meet again to try to revitalize and refocus the issue of immigration."
The first lady said she felt "a special bond with Mexico" and recalled the couple had spent their honeymoon in Mexico City and the Caribbean resort of Cozumel. The first lady is expected to focus on childhood poverty as she participates in this summit.

Well, if she does support abortion, that says a lot. However, because I haven't seen anything confirming that she said that, or that she believes in abortion, I'll keep my mind open.

Well, when push came to shove, Marie Antoinette's supporters didn't fare very well...

I liked Keyes, too.

I agree with about all you said. How about using all of the suggestions?

Glad you like them.

The global corporatists would never have anyone who believed in American Sovreignty like Keyes. Corporatists are only interested in their bottom line and if they have to destroy the sovereignty of this nation to make their quarterly earnings reports estimates, they will. With glee.

Yes, that's what is going on. Wide-Open borders and unchecked immigration is used to destroy the cultural character of the country. It's contributing to balkanization and competing groups in a new multicultural empire.

I gave up and quit trying to do a lot of things during the Carter miasma. I paid a hell of a price for it. You will too.

Where's the 'I love Laura' crowd on this? Funny how they haven't posted on this thread... Two weeks from now they'll deny that the thread ever existed or state that it was Democrat propaganda.

Yeah, even if we have questions or concerns about attacking Iraq, we're being labeled as fifth columnists.

I would rather be poor and free with my own sovereign nation than slightly more wealthy with neighbors that didn't speak (or want to speak) English and hated my country and what it stood for. If more Americans would decide that being free Americans meant more than that new suit or car we might get our country back.

Yes, there is a corporate/economic aspect to the globalist system. However, there is also a governmental, nation consolidation aspect to this.

I see a solution too Mrs Bush. Grant the illegals citizenship on condition that the US and Mexico jointly fund to build a 30 ft high concrete wall along the US/Mexico border and place the US military on orders to defend the wall from all new invaders.
To: FreedomFriend
they are also working in the poultry plants in Gainesville (Northeast GA). Gainseville is trying to grow in the opposite direction of the influx. There are parts of Gainseville now that I don't even recognise anymore. The litter, the bars on the windows, the hole in the wall-greasy spoons and pawn shops, loiterers, and junk cars/junk yards make people LEAVE. It's sad how the influx cannot integrate and work WITH the community.

Hey, I'm not denying that it happened. It very well could have. In fact, I'm probably one of the most outspoken critics to the left-wing, pro-globalization, anti-constitutional legislation coming out of the Bush administration.
To: FreedomFriend
Undoubtedly. The elitists would rather be in charge of 500M people than 300M people. Hey, it makes them more 'important' and they have increased resources to rape.
To: two23
Yep. You have Norcross, Chamblee, and Doraville on one end, and Gainesville further to the northeast. In between, you do have Suwannee, Buford, Duluth, Lawrenceville, Sugar Hill and Oakwood that aren't inundated. However, given the trends, I sometime wonder if they won't start seeing huge effects sometime in the future.
Are you saying that Gainesville is growing towards the south?

You're almost there. Just build the wall and throw the present illegals back over it. If we legalize the present illegals they will work toward beinging more in, will overwhelm the electoral process, and we will have lost.

Just remember, Laura is a highly educated woman like Hillary. The purpose of higher education is to compromise women.
