Let's asses the situation:
- mother in jail, soon to post $5000 bail
- mother's sister in jail, arrested for 'failing to report child abuse'. She may be out by now.
- girl in state's custody, may be assigned to foster parents, not likely to be allowed to live with her family for a long time, possibly for ever
- girl's siblings may not see their little sister for a long time
- a bunch of Freepers happy because yet another kid is liberated away from her natural family and thrown into the (long and) loving arms of the 'authorities'.
Now, the racist, statist, lookist 'concerned citizens', the ambulance chasing profession AND Hillary Clinton must be happy beyond happy. The little girl has been finally liberated from her mother, father(?), siblings, playmates, etc.
Oh, she is also fine, physically speaking.
I didn't watch much news lately (it's the weekend, you know?), but I got this from a post by .30Carbine:
The girl showed no visible signs of injuries, but Child Protective Services will temporarily place her with another family that is not related, prosecutor Chris Toth said Saturday. He said she was being examined at a hospital.
``She's safe. We just have to, at this point, make sure there are not any deeper physical injuries,'' Toth said. ``She's a sweet, wonderful girl. Physically she looks fine.''
According to something I heard last night, it may take up to ONE YEAR before the daughter could be ALLOWED to be reunited with her (as some 'freepers' put it) WHITE TRASH, SHOPLIFTING WHORE, also MOTHER OF THREE.
Could any of the 'concerned citizens' who advocate making other people business their own explain how could THIS heal. They were talking about a spanking/beating causing PERMANENT PSYCHOLOGICAL SCARS that the girl will live with for the rest of her life.
Could those who advocate making other people business their own explain now how forcing a 4-yr. old away from her family for up to one year NOT hurt the girl?
I'm sure they have all kinds of answers. I'm just curious what they are.
Common, let's see, who comes up with the best creative nonsense!!!!
It's a challenge boys and girls AND it will make you feel good about yourselves. Perhaps you can also explain on what basis you were describing the girl's mother as 'white trash', 'whore', 'white trash whore' and 'shop lifter'.
Oh, one more thing, I haven't heard from Hillary but, last night I had the TV tuned into Fox covering the Arafat situation as I was falling asleep (this is the kind of TV programming that puts me to sleep fast). I had my eyes closed so I couldn't see the lovely facial expressions but I heard friend-of-FR and certified liar and licensed adulterer HERALDO suggesting that the girl's mother should have 'her hands broken'. She told the audience that she WAS a monster. Fox blonde Rita Cosby was, of course, in total agreement with HERALDO and so... BIZARRE, was THE FORMER U.S. AMBASSADOR to one of those Arab Emirates who decided that he HAD to agree that the girl's mother was A MONSTER when asked to comment about the Arafat situation.
So, here you are people, you got HERALDO on your side now.
You MUST be both PROUD and HAPPY. You were on the correct side of history.
Let's hear from you now as I go out to calibrate my new crossbow.
Arjuna said: O Krishna, what impels one to commit sin or selfish deeds as if unwillingly and forced against ones will? (3.36)Commentary:Lord Krishna said: It is the lust, born out of passion, that becomes anger when unfulfilled. Lust is insatiable and is a great devil. Know this as the enemy. (3.37)
The mode of passion is the absence of mental equilibrium leading to vigorous activity to achieve desired fruits. Lust, the passionate selfish desire for all sensual and material pleasures, is the product of the mode of passion. Lust becomes anger if it is unfulfilled. When the attainment of fruits is hindered or interrupted, the intense desire for their achievement turns into fierce rage. Hence, the Lord says that lust and anger are two mighty enemies that can lead one to commit sin and turn one astray from the path of Self-realization, the supreme goal of human life. Actually, mundane desire compels a person to engage in sinful activities in spite of his or her will. Control your wants because whatever you want wants you. Lord Buddha said: Selfish desire is the root of all evils and misery.
Broken bones on little ones will raise a red flag everytime since the nurse is obligated to act as the patient's advocate.
Children are not property. They are human beings. Seeing a child treated inhumanely and then becoming incensed does not make one "hysterical" nor does it condemn them to the view of "interfer[ing] into other peoples' lives."
BTW, I notice you haven't commented on my post #125:
I don't recall hearing or reading about whatever the 4-year-old child did that provoked her mother which, subsequently, made her "deserve" the punishment meted out to her. Oh, I know, being only 4, she probably was tired and cranky, making her a bit of a handful that day. Yep, that would certainly make her deserve this beating.
But, I suppose that wondering what in the world a 4-year-old could have done to deserve this beating is an irrational and irrelevant question, and, lol, none of my business.
No, Madam. It is folks like YOU that scare ME! You cannot see beyond your politically correct nose.
Have a day. 'Pod
Do you have a different video that show her hand actually making contact with the girl, etc.?
Has the mother ADMITTED that she beat the girl?
I am unaware of either. In a case like this, we must insist on conclusive proof, not what "looks like" a beating.
Use the rules that would apply to evidence in court. Think about this.
I do not believe in beating kids either (for those of you, like Motherbear, that apparently need me to use Crayolas to make my point).
But I HATE Child Protective Services. There have been too many broken families at the hands of THESE monsters! 'Pod
Reunification.
what would happen to Toogood if she would receive support from the wacko Christine advisers?
Hard time.
I agree, they are awful. But what is the answer? Leaving innocent babies with parents who hurt them, beat them, burn them with cigarettes, break their bones, etc., etc.? Some people are sick, some are sicker. I don't like protective services either (I think most are very very bad).....but what to do? Certainly, one cannot simply turn their heads to children that are being abused and sleep well at night, knowing their maker will say to them: "Suffer not the little children . . ."
Yes. See post #171. She admits to hitting her with a closed fist.
See also my post #168 where both the mother and husband of this scum admit it was abuse.
On the other hand, with your post, at least VastRightWing isn't alone anymore.
In the long run, the little girl is likely to be more traumatized by being separated from her family. I'm not excusing the abuse. It is learned behavior to a large extent. Many of us older ones were disciplined in manners that would be considered abusive today. I would have been devastated to be taken out of my home because one of my parents temporarily lost their cool.
I hope the mother can be retrained not to act on those impulses.
If only this could help the family make a turn for the better, but I fear all the publicity and book offers and everything else will probably make things worse for all of them.
I'm concerned also about the mother's attitude towards stealing. There are too many people out there who think nothing of it when they get away with it.
What is wrong in our society that we are producing people like this? This mother is only the tip of the iceberg where abuse is concerned. Too many children are in homes where they aren't necessarily abused, but they are not getting real love and proper examples. That is what we need to be looking at. It is part of the reason why there are so many losers in our society and people who fall through the cracks.
Did you even try to understand the argument? 'Pod
If it proves out that she did what she admits to doing, then she should be criminally prosecuted for this.
