Dude-

I'll take half the apple. The enemy of my enemy is my ally. A RINO at least votes for Trent Lott.

I have to say that this is it for me too. It seems abundantly clear to me that the evil legislation that made murder of the most innocent of innocents a "right" was the beginning of the downward spiral into the prevalent depravity we see all around us, in Hollywood, in schools and in politics. This devaluing of human life has made us a baser society and since I was old enough to vote that issue has been the single most important issue on which I have based my votes. Never, under any circumstances, would I knowingly vote for any candidate of any party who supported the ongoing slaughter of the unborn. Unfortunately, it seems to be a fundamental requirement for a successful democrat candidate to support this abomination and I agree with you Jim; if that isn't evil, what is? Our priorities in this country have become twisted and perverse to the extent that I daresay the founding fathers would not recognize this as the America they built. While I detest corruption on all levels, unless and until I see a clear alternative, I will continue to vote for those who seek to reverse this most grievous wrong.

Needs to be repeated. Bump!

Well, we can't vote them out if we don't try. Vote out as many RATs as we possibly can. Send the Republicans in with a conservative mandate. Call them, write them, visit them in their offices. Tell them what we want them to do when they get up there... and keep reminding them. Then, before the next primary, select the most conservative candidates you can possibly find and work for their campaigns. Convince as many people as possible to support and promote them. Get them nominated on the Republican ticket and then campaign like hell to get them elected. They can't do it without grass roots support.

I agree with the above, Jim. I'm now, and have been for some time, a knee-jerk Republican-lever pusher.

And proud of it! Just give me a choice between the lesser of evils, and I'll vote for the lesser every time. All I ask is that the Republican party refuse to put up candidates like senile, old Dole. The Republican party has to select candidates with good speaking skills, precisely because PR is everything.

Well, you can advocate it 'til dooms day. It still ain't gonna happen. In fact, you'll only be helping the Democrats and they'll only bring more and more big government, corruption and socialism. In other words, voting third party is worse than futile, it's self defeating.

And that's the unfortunate reality. Let the Dems go through the growing pains of developing a third party. Meanwhile, decent Americans can have some kind of truly moderate voice in politics. If they become successful, the third party can be hijacked.

I guess it could be said that Bush owes his presidency to third party voters.

Bingo. Support Ralph Nader. But vote Republican. For now.

Healthcare given to us by the government would be worse than none at all. Socialized medicine is not a pretty picture and if the HMO's haven't shown us that, nothing will.
Anyone without the money for heathcare, if they are sick will get help without charge in this nation. That is perhaps not widely known.
I am sorry, but with all due respect, I don't want the government in my heath care anymore than they already are.

Corruption is the systematic indoctrination of several generations of our youth with socialist dogma via government school systems. Corruption is the removal of God from public life and substituting in the evil homosexual/feminist agenda and the destruction of moral society.
You've got this right.

When (not if) the terrorists strike across this land, the democrat party has only marshall law to offer the citizenry. It is time to replace the democrats, removing them from power and neutralizing their postponeNIK/appeaseNIK approach to foreign policy. We must crush the enemy and disarm the survivors. The democrats offer appeasement, postponement, and impotent words on paper ... they haven't the balls to wage the war agaisnt terrorism beyond our shores thus their leadership will end waging the war against terrorism here on our soil, under the umbrella of marshall law with the democrats giving the orders. Do we actually want that? If so, this Republic is lost already.

Time to vote in record numbers, showing the world that we the people will come after terrorists through our military. Wherever terrorists try to hide, we will allow our military might to annihilate the enemy, not play kissy foot with them like the Baghdad four and Li'l Tommy Daschle.

I agree with Jim in everything, but I must add that Waco was a cult. My cousin is married to a fellow who's brother died in that and they were trying to get his butt out of there well before Reno showed up.
When you get attached to crazed folks, bad things almost always happens.
I think Reno did a horrible job there with her choices for sure.
I also think the cult also put themselves in danger by being in that place along with of all things, fuel inside! Just retarded.

Waco was handled way wrong, but that was a dangerous cult behaving badly as well and they did not cooperate IMO!

I fault the descision of Reno, but not the FBI folks who were just taking orders.
Remember, some got shot - Waco was a cult, what happened there was wrong, but I wouldn't raise them up as much of an example of everything wrong since they share much of blame there.
