September 21, 2002 -- Lawyers for family members of Sept. 11 victims said yesterday they've uncovered a money-laundering scheme in Spain that directed cash from Saudi Arabia to the hijackers in Germany.
The legal team - which is suing some members of the Saudi royal family and Osama bin Laden's family business - says new evidence shows that more than $1 million was funneled to al Qaeda cells in Europe, including 9/11 hijacker Mohamed Atta's in Hamburg.

Interesting. Spain has been working really hard to uncover these folks, btw, because its geographical location and historical ME connections make it an ideal staging ground for such activities. Right. Unlike France and Germany, Spain was of course conquered by the islamists in the 10th century, who were evicted two hundred years later.

Please correct me if I am wrong here, but didn't Bush mention something about those who fund terrorists being terrorists? Not sure if I got that right, but it sure does ring a bell... You must not have been listening during the last part:
"....provided they don't breed over a valuable resource."

NO ONE expects the Spanish Inquisition...!!!

ROFL. How appropriate. I wouldn't condemn all of Spain however for the actions of these international "front" companies. We've got money laundering fronts in this country as well that terrorists are using, although the government has cracked down on alot of them (mainly by scrutinizing the Muslim "charities").

He also invoked NATO. "An attack on one is an attack on all."
This also, then, includes NATO policy on Weapons of Mass Destruction. (WoMD being ANY biological, chemical, or nuclear weapon designed to kill, injure or render ineffective mass numbers of civilians or soldeirs. The Anthrax scare counts as such..)
Nato's Standard Operating Procedure is to answer chem/biological attacks with a nuke. (At least on paper, for now.) Wonder how many nations out there that backed up the terrorists are wondering when they'll see the bright flash at the end of the tunnel.
'Course, I'm not saying we should nuke them. But since that is NATO SOP,and we inc\voked NATO, we should at least make a showing of looking like we'll do it. Put the fear of GOD in the soul-less SOB's and send the camel cres running for the nearest oasis.. as far away as they can get.

The U.S. should take over Saudi Arabia and use all of their oil. Just think of the boon to the economy.

It's past time the Saudis made #1 on the "Axis of Evil" list. Point those missiles at Mecca and Medina.

Officials in Spain and the United States said in interviews this week that they knew little about who in Saudi Arabia might have provided the funds sent to Spain, and they left open the possibility that the money could have come from investors who believed they were contributing to legitimate businesses. This is a smoking gun?

Russian oil is starting to flow, so things might start getting better real soon. Once Iraq is dealt with, I think the royal family is in for a Bush surprise.
There you go, making sense again :)
