Wow! What can be added to this heartfelt piece by one who was almost one of them? The Clintons have made Republicans out of a lot of people.

There he was for all to see with nary an apology in sight, in our faces once again,
drawing still more attention to himself on this most solemn of days. Could he not have found the decency to stay away just this once? I cried more tears that night before I fell asleep. I asked forgiveness for lending my time, efforts and resources to a man who became our president and the woman who went to the White House with him.
I know now that they were undeserving of our honor and respect. They brought shame to that great house.
And once again, I was most thankful for this good man and this good woman who live there now.
First, I saw the David Letterman program too. David Letterman even said "I think you're still President". I shuddered with nausea! Clinton NEVER ONCE stated how sad the tragedy was. He did pontificate on how things SHOULD BE DONE in HIS opinion. I was yelling "YOU IDIOT, ITS BECAUSE OF YOU WE ARE WHERE WE ARE TODAY!!"
Secondly, well said by Kathleen Willey!!
I totally believe her NOW, just as I did back then.
She isn't alone in feeling SICK she had supported that man and his wife. I've met many who feel likewise.
God Bless her, and her new hubby!! Well said Kathleen!!!

Hillary Clinton stood at the podium and began to speak more names. I watched as those brave men around me turned their backs to the television and began to walk away.Thank you for this post...sniff.

This article should be saved for the day that woman, Rodman Clinton, declares for reelection....... or worse!

I worked with a guy who was a sailor on both 788 attack subs and missile boats. He was in the Navy during the Clinton years, and according to him, he was aboard at least one boat that received a Unit Citation. He told me the President is supposed to sign Unit Citations, but Clinton never did sign any.
I know this story is completely anecdotal, and perhaps someone can give better information about Unit Citations and whether or not what I was told is accurate.
I might add, the ex sailor I spoke with had absolutely no time for Clinton.

Well said! What a difference between this article and the kneepad type writer's.

Thanks for searching this out and posting for us to read.
I would feel in good company if she were a FReeper.
Why would I doubt that? I do not. Tom

I know just how she felt. I was at work but the radio was on during much of the reading of the names. Thankfully, I didn't realize that Hillary had done any of the reading, but now that I know, it disgusts me. But later that day and throughout the evening I watched a lot of the memorials and shed a lot of tears throughout. Shortly before I went to bed I was flipping through the channels and also happened to hit the Letterman Show, which I never even watch, just in time to see Bubba walk on stage with that sickening, self-important smirk of his. Everything about him reeks of low-life white trash but this inappropriate appearance on such a solemn day took the cake. If there were ever 2 faces that America didn't need to see on 9/11 it was theirs.

I normally like Letterman, but his syncophancy disgusted me that night, as did Clinton, with his smarmy "blow" jokes on 9/11 and his attempts to claim he'd done so much to stop Osama, even holding three meetings a week to discuss him. Really? Is that why he turned down the offer from Sudan to take him on a silver platter, and why he met with his own CIA chief ONE time in eight years, far fewer times than he met with Monica?
Every time I see that preening, conscienceless egomaniac getting cheers, applause and standing ovations from a New York audience, like he did on "Late Night," I just want to scream at those New Yorkers, "You damned IDIOTS! This is the guy whose dereliction of duty CAUSED that smoking hole where the WTC used to be! If he'd done his job, your friends and relatives would still be alive, and you're applauding him! Are you absolutely insane?!"

What an excellent article she wrote. I read it earlier. She has it down pat.
President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush both have character and that speaks for itself.
Clinton has no class or character or he would have kept a low profile on the anniversary of 9-11 instead of appearing on some stupid late night talk show. That says a lot about him.
Notice I didn't put his name on the same line with our dignified President Bush?

It should be read by new Yorkers so they know the kind of person they elected senator.

Great Post! Maybe we can get other former Clinton admirers to work for decent politicians.
