President Bush began the day by meeting with senior members of Congress, who later announced that there will be a resolution regarding Iraq before the elections. Bush then met with a group of cancer survivors, including Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong, and announced an increase in cancer research funding. The President also met with Czech Republic President Vaclav Havel. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Yep - of COURSE I believe it! Just like when I called my brother and told him that I was going to shake the hand of the next President of the United States, tomorrow...on that day in Oct of 2000 in West Chester, PA...and out of the thousands there...sure enough I SHOKE HIS HAND. --Hubby even gave him a letter to read...and he took it! We told those Secret Servicemen in no uncertain terms...to TAKE GOOD CARE OF HIM! and they nodded that they would.
I knew then, he would win and be the best President we ever had. He lives hubby's and my motto..."do the right thing for the right reasons" and knows that it's the only way to be able to look yourself in the mirror and be happy about what you see. THAT will make him great. He "gets it."
I hope they read our thread and tell him how proud we are of him. --Oh...and tell him that I wore his Mom's pearls on TV the night of the election! I did whatever I could to help. Just like the orange tie is a signal, I hoped those pearls would tell him that even people who were surrounded by Dems could pop out and show they dared to care about his being elected. There were many people that were jumping up and down backstage that night...so happy when they announced he'd won.
Tell him that I swung open the sliding glass doors in our PA townhouse and turned up the volume and played "Ode to Joy" right after W was sworn in. I was soooo happy!
Go George Go! - you tell 'em what we WILL do, not what they want to debate about doing. YOU'RE THE BEST!!!!

Aw, I don't really think that Daschele even cares what the people of his own state thinks. He is on a power trip.

If this is true, then you are right, the UN is a bunch of losers. Of course, we already know that to be the case but they are demonstrating it to the world in SPADES!

LOL! I like your Mama! We can't take her out in public, lol! She's fun. She has a real life story that concerns Paul Begala I would love to tell, but she'd kill me if somebody she knows lurks here and saw it.

I seriously doubt Daschele feels uncomfortable around the President. In fact I am betting he is polite and backslapping in front of him. He's just backstabbing behind him.

Report from the Independent says the UN is going to give Sadaam ONE YEAR with weapons inspectorsI don't think that's going to float with W. He made nice with them for formality's sake, but he also told them his conditions and weapon inspectors weren't on his list.

Lots of good results thus far. Gramho12 is keeping track. But I missed the meeting tonight so I'm not sure where we are. I've lost 18.

Actually Seven, I believe most think it is a good idea for the US to take out Saddam. They won't admit it publicly because they are scared of him. But they are more then willing to let the United States do the dirty work. I am also betting a lot of deals are being made behind the scene. They want to be on the winning side.

I'd say from the President's expression as he talks with Tommy and Dickie that they've just been given their last chance. Hehehehe.

I'm sure he won't and we have veto power for any resolutions. Putting ONE YEAR into it is the kiss of death. Why even bother with it? Kofi Anan is worthless. I'm all for the US totally dropping out of the UN.

I doubt the tie has anything to do with the color code the nation is under. He probably put it on before Laura got a chance to hide it.

I agree. Not only should we drop out, we should strongly encourage them to find a new office somewhere across the Atlantic.

You sure are right about that!

You gotta be kidding. The UN is so out of it.
To: NordP
I'm sure glad I finished drinkin' my coffee before I read your diatribe. ROTFLOL ... Whoa, would I like to hear him really say that to them; before he banishes them from the oval office forever; just for being so stupid.
