Look at this Drudge Headline from Yesterday, quoting bush saying "WE WILL NOT BE FOOLED" And at the same time putting up this picture of Bush:
What is he trying to say?
And then there's his never-ending obsession with what liberal hollywodd people are saying, as well as doing. I DON'T CARE what a dime a dozen actor thinks!
I think he's letting liberal reporter's culture seep into him. It's sad.
In my opinion, Matt Dridge is a liberal. He is also a populist, and that puts him at odds with liberal elitists, and I also think that he has a sense of right and wrong, so there's a couple of character elements that do not fit the liberal mold. He also seems to embrace the classic journalistic ethic of the People's right to know, without reshaping facts to reflect his biases.
Weak credentials for a liberal, anti elitist, a sense of morality, and lacking the insane, preening, excessive self worshiping pridefulness that allows "main(urine)stream" media to distort the news.
Still, Drudge has, in my view, an urbane, liberal world view. Maybe he will degenerate into a typical amoral elitist distorting the public view of the truth eventually, but today I suppose he is the kind of liberal you dont see much anymore. The kind one can generally respect.
:-)
Ain't that always the way! They pick a fight but they don't want to finish it! Well I aint cease firin', I'm loading my s......
:-)
Drudge just absolulely has an axe to grind with Cheney. Drudge is just brutal.
I don't bump him near as much as I used to. I may phase him out alltogether if his stupidy continues. I never bump CNN news, and even Yahoo is occasionaly liberal.
FOX is the only place for fair and balanced.
He posts this on his website as if it was breaking news. Well, we have known for weeks now, if not months, that Israel will retaliate against Iraq.
Drudge hasn't broken a major story since the Lewinsky affair some five years ago now. And even that story wasn't really Drudge's. It was a story already researched by the Washington Post and spiked.
All these sirens and flashing lights on the DRUDGE REPORT always end up being linked to stories published elsewhere and researched by others. Thus, Drudge isn't really a "reporter." He just has people feeding him information.
That said, I do find his website useful and I still use it as my home page. But I do not have any allusions that it is Drudge who is breaking these stories.
