We work with people who are members of the DC chapter, just not the Chapter proper.

I don't really know the answer to that question, since it makes no sense to me either. However, its a free country and the more people working for the cause, the better.

SO the Tri-State/Midwest chapter does cover Kentucky.

I was just getting ready to send you freepmail, asking about Kentucky. I definitely need to get in touch with the contact for this Midwest group. However, I don't see any reason why we shouldn't have a free-standing Kentucky chapter. Hell, the recent numbers on the Kentucky FR profile page shows 108 registered Freepers. What do we need to do?

In the past, we had a couple of very informal meetings here in Louisville, KY with a very small number of Freepers showing up. But it was still a great time!

So I am willing to do whatever I need to, in order to start a Free Republic Kentucky Chapter. I am the past chairman of both the Jefferson County Young Republicans and the 3rd District Young Republicans. We can do this.

P.S. If it would help, we could even call it " One_Particular_Chapter ." (ducking now)

You're always welcome to join us, but, I understand your concern. Start a chapter in your area/region/state (I'll help if you request), we can never have to many chapters. I'd like to see one in every city.

Has the FR Network had this on it's radar screen at all?

There are a bunch of FReepers showing up. Our chapter president Gene (seeking the truth), is setting up a table which will be the FR "command post".

I can't believe how much individuals (especially FReepers) can accomplish when they get jazzed. Everything from organizing caravan rallies to writing in National publications.

This thing is going to be huge, there are over 700 groups involved, national media, politicians. It's the perfect venue for a strong FR presence.

Anyone have a FR banner laying around?

Definitely! I urge all FReepers to join a chapter. If there is no chapter in your area, join together with a few other like-minded FReepers and start one. Then have your new chapter join FRN. My goal is to eventually have one or more chapters in every county of the country. Chapters can organize rallies, organize letter writing campaigns, visit Representative offices, become known to and apply pressure to your local political organizations and representatives, organize get out the vote campaigns, walk precincts, recruit, train, support and elect local candidates, etc. We can retake America and we can do it with a nation wide grass roots campaign. Get motivated and get rolling!
