Black Dems Blame Jews for Primary Defeats

Participants in this month's Congressional Black Caucus conference say the defeat of two black House members in bitter primaries not only suggests a widening rift with Jewish Democrats, but trouble within the Democratic Party itself.

"People were talking retaliation," said Ron Walters, the director of the African American Leadership Institute at the University of Maryland, of last week's CBC events in Washington. "They were saying [presidential hopeful] Sen. Joe Lieberman is dead in the water, and so on and so forth."

Two black Democrat politicians were defeated by two other black Democrat politicians, both of whom made efforts to cross race lines for political support. That foundation bodes well for their prospects one to win election and two to stay in office and not embarass themselves, their party and their districts.

Absolutely, the obscene actions of McKinney, Jackson, et al offend me. The fact that you post a rational response with a sincere apology shows that you are

1) not a racist, but someone who let their anger briefly get the better of them, and

2) a stand-up guy.

Shhesh, ok I was hasty in posting and stepped on my thang. The connection I was seeing is stemming from the retrobution comment in the article. Mugabe and such ilk pull out o'l whitey to blame for everything en masse. He does this willingly in order to maintain power. Any black rival would meet the same machette or necklace that he dispenses. The parallel's I saw were the statements offered the media by political forces blaming one racial or ethnic group for their inability to keep power. Even when the newly elected are black as well. Everyone seems to ignore the comment of my post where I indicate that the possibility that the electorate just found a higher quality candidate seems to have slipped from the bigot radar alert screen. Eh! I'm a big boy and I can take it. A hasty(and yes dumb) comment sure can cause you to "Haffa get a beatin"-Peter Tosh, Bush Doctor.

Asked about his daughter's ailing campaign the day before her defeat in the Aug. 20 primary, Mr. McKinney said, "Jews have bought everybody. Jews. J-E-W-S."

Her racist core is showing.

I guess it would never occur to McKinney that her leftist schtick is not selling these days. Now she can take a job more suitable to her abilities -- such as selling copies of Mao's "Little Red Book" at dimocrat conventions. Or maybe plucking the white chickens at Tyson Foods.

You would maybe prefer the Italian system? A separate party for every 2 to 5 elected representatives? Where (until very recently) they couldn't hold a govenment together for more than 6 months?
The 2 party system at leasts coopts ideas that most people want and gets them implemented. It represents those in the minority only poorly (which is what the states could do if the 10th amendment wasn't ignored by the feds) but the majority fairly well. True, it is at the expense of 3rd parties but somebody always wants to play Don Quiote.

The relationship between Jews and blacks is complicated by the growing number of black Muslims in America (from whom we have heard NOTHING!). Studies have shown that Jews are inherently less likely to become Republicans than are Catholics so this movement of Jews toward the Republican Party is a major sea change. At one point, decades ago, blacks were Republican-leaning. Jews never have been. The major questions remain how this might effect turnout this November and how long the Jewish community will stay loyal to the party of W.

The results of the wake-up call of 9-11, and GWB's subsequent position vis terrorism in general and the Pali's in specific. American Jews are seeing action instead of the typical dim empty rhetoric. I believe that many now see Clinton as the pandering, empty, sociopathic buffoon that he is, and this revelation is bearing fruit in their thinking about the dims in general. This could become another "unintended consequence" of the Clinton years. I predict that he will go down in history as the most damaging president in history -- to the Democrat Party, as well as the nation per se.
