Not too familiar with the geography, but I think Cannon road runs along side Legoland -- correct?

10News has reported that at least one person was aboard each plane.

Who is stupider? A reporter who thinks he has to report this fact, or a viewer who is surprised by it?

I was going to say, "NO KIDDING?"

Then again, one plane could have been a Predator or a Global Hawk...

I wonder if one of the planes had a bumper sticker that read, "In case of rapture this plane will be unmanned."

CARLSBAD, Calif. (AP) -- Two single-engine private planes collided in flight Tuesday near a local airport in Carlsbad, federal officials said. There was no immediate word on injuries.

The planes collided around 1 p.m. about a mile from Palomar Airport, said Jerry Snyder, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration in Los Angeles.

Emergency crews were on the scene, about 30 miles north of San Diego. Snyder identified the two planes as a Beech Duchess and a Mooney MO20.

Carlsbad emergency crews are responding to the scene, but initial reports have said that there are no injuries on the ground.

Given the previous statement, I wonder how to take this one.
