April 26, 1935 - September 6, 2002
Joined the United States Air Force at age 17. Served in two wars (Korea and Vietnam). Tail gunner on B-29s; Boomer on KC-97s and KC-135s. Retired September 1974 after 22 years of faithful service to his country. RIP dad. I really miss you. You were the most decent, honest, and honorable man I have ever known. I will never be half the man (or father) that you were.
I love you.

Dear Skooz,
You and your family are in my prayers. My husband, a former bomber pilot, can certainly appreciate what your father did as a gunner and a boomer (so can I, but from a different perspective), and we both are grateful for his service.
We are sorry for the loss of a fine man and dedicated father.
