Democratic Party insiders are said to be furious over published reports identifying the five al Qaeda cell members arrested over the weekend in Lackawanna, New York as registered Democrats.
Sunday's Buffalo News initially revealed the inconvenient detail, noting first that "members of Lackawanna's Yemeni community describe the five arrested men as 'all-American.'"
"They include a telemarketer, a used car salesman and a former high school soccer star who was named friendliest in his class. Four are married, and three have children. All are registered voters Democrats," announced USA Today on Monday, picking up the News report.
News of the al Qaeda cell's political affiliation can only exacerbate the party's already growing image as being soft on terrorism. Monday morning, for instance, noting that the Lackawanna five will be unable to go to the polls in the future, WABC Radio's Curtis Sliwa joked, "There's five less votes for Hillary Clinton."
Some Republicans see the "Al Qaeda were Democrats" reports as poetic justice.
Over the years, Democratic Party spinmeisters and their liberal media friends have repeatedly attempted to make hay over the political ties of domestic terrorists like Timothy McVeigh, whom President Clinton once tried to tie to conservative radio talker Rush Limbaugh.

The story in the Buffalo News is lengthy. I'll post the pertinent paragraph(s) and the FR link I posted earlier so you can pick up the entire article.
The Buffalo News reports:
Friends and family describe the five men in 'all-American' terms, people who work, go to school, care for their families and enjoy a good game of soccer. The descriptions hardly match the demographic profile of anyone who would train to become a terrorist, accused of operating an al-Qaida cell out of Lackawanna.
In fact, their friends and families discount the FBI's claims that the five spent time in Afghanistan, training with the same group responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States.
But for some of the men, at least, life in their hometown of Lackawanna - where at least four graduated from Lackawanna High School - was more than the routine 9-to-5 at the office and a Bills game on the weekend.
Faysal Galab, for example, left town for a few months last year, according to his brother, to study Islam in Pakistan.
At least three of the other men - even one struggling financially in recent years - went to Pakistan in recent years, according to relatives. They all traveled halfway around the world to study their religion, relatives said.
Saturday, sketchy portraits started to emerge of the five Lackawanna men of Yemeni heritage who were rounded up Friday evening and early Saturday by the FBI.
All five are native-born U.S. citizens. Four are married, and at least three have children. All are in their 20s. All lived within a few blocks of each other. One drives a motorcycle. Two have suspended driver's licenses. One was voted the friendliest in his high school class. One goes to Erie Community College. One sells used cars; another works as a telemarketer. Several are avid soccer players. ......All five are registered Democrats.

"Al Qaeda were Democrats"
Great bumper sticker idea.......

Muslims voted overwhelmingly for Bush in 2000. It was the one minority group that Republicans dominated in that election. It just appears that Republicans gain the votes of the non-terrorist muslim population. Is that true?
If so, then your second sentence bears repeating.
It just appears that Republicans gain the votes of the non-terrorist muslim population.

I think it should be noted and SHOUTED FROM THE ROOFTOPS, that the democRATS are stalling the single two most important legislative initiatives currently facing congress.
I would say that makes them co-conspirators at the very least and full-on traitors in reality. All, of course, IMHO.

Basically they are anti-racist activists and they just haven't found this out yet. I guess Muslims are not as smart as the other "oppressed" peoples of color.

During a conversation with an FBI agent outside the United States on that day, Uncharged Co-Conspirator C acknowledged that he attended al-Qaida's Al-Farooq Training Camp near Kandahar, Afghanistan, in June 2001.It's amazing how much more "chatty" these guys are when they're arrested overseas. Hmmmmmmm.

Rushmo might surprise us though.
My guess is that Hannity will be all over this. I am going to email O'Reilly.

Let the RATS fume till the cows come home, the more they bitch the more it resonates.
I have long held that if the news media were to treat the RATS with the same bias it treats the GOP for just one week, the RATS would collapse physically and psychologically in short order. We have jerks like Michael Kinsley on the left who admit to the bias and then suggest, "so what?" The so what is the immense toll of time, talent, and energy that it takes to accommodate and overcome that bias. Not to mention the ongoing drain and psychological abuse on the recipient of the bias.

It just appears that Republicans gain the votes of the non-terrorist muslim population. Exactly. The Democrats seem to be favored by terrorists of every stripe (and vice versa).

"Democratic Party insiders are said to be furious over published reports identifying the five al Qaeda cell members arrested over the weekend in Lackawanna, New York as registered Democrats." They can dish it out but they sure can't take it.

I also sent it ot the bombthrower talk show host on our local 50,000 watt blowtorch. I encourage everyone to do the same. I think this has legs for the November election. Even if it is just background noise, I think it can have some effect.
