No, I am not ever going to get used to it. It is rude and offensive and terribly hard on young blonde girls in school or in the workplace to have to be the object of "dumb blonde" jokes. I have been collecting data for quite a while now and am interested in filing a lawsuit against websites, etc. that produce blonde jokes if I can find a lawyer willing to take the case. Why should blondes have to tolerate being discriminated against when it is illegal to discriminate against others?

But, I know you're illustrating absurdity with absurdity.

Maybe I'm desensitized. I'm a conservative who has been in a very liberal work environment for most of the last 8 years, so I've felt the sting of many a barb and cutting joke. I understand where you are coming from, but at what point do we overshelter children, versus prepare them for the battles of the real world? Obviously not my place to decide, but something to consider. I hear where you are coming from, but not sure that there is a very effective proactive solution out there.
As to the lawsuit, gonna be a tough road. If Neonazi idiots can put racial jokes on the web, I doubt blond jokes are going to be deemed as more offensive.
Do you really think that many people actually believe hair color affects intelligence? Gender discrimination would seem to be the more likely explanation. And IMHO, any intelligent woman with attractive looks is usually at an ADVANTAGE in a business setting. Some things are just that way, fair or not. Human nature is a slippery cat to herd.
My guess is that more at the root of the problem(sorry about that) is insecure girls playing the dumb blonde image if they think it is to their benefit. Improving self-esteem would help that, but such is probably more effective coming from parents and peers, rather than the judiciary.

2. Your lawsuit will only make your lawyers rich, and in any event, you will lose because this country allows free speech.
3. Lighten up.
4. Your post is tending to reinforce the "dumb blonde" theorem:)
5. For pete's sake, lighten up. I'm a blonde also, with a sense of humor, and I'm not offended by blonde jokes. Truth be known, most of them are variations of old polish jokes. Most polacks I know smile when they hear such jokes, and refuse to react. That's the way blondes should react also. It diffuses the situation.
Now go out there and make up some "dumb brunette" jokes!

Q. What's the difference between a brunette and some household garbage?
A. The trash gets taken out once in a while.

A Blond is driving down a country road running adjacent to a golf course. She looks out her car window and see's another blond sitting in a row boat and paddling furiously on the green of the seventh hole.
She is incensed and shouts at the Blond in the dry locked boat, "It's People like you who give Blonds a bad name."
Then after pausing for a moment she adds,"And if I could swim I would come over there and kick the snippets out of you!!"

Why should blondes have to tolerate being discriminatedagainst when it is illegal to discriminate against others? If it will make you feel any better, the woman
in the picture must really be dumb if
going blonde is an improvement.
Well, maybe that won't make you feel
better after all. Never mind.

RepublicanHippy,
Your blondness is showing. :)
Get over it. Just remember the common propaganda that we have more fun too. :)
Blond is not just a hair color, it's an attitude. :)
The dark hairs are just jealous.

I have been collecting data for quite a while now and am interested in filing a lawsuit against websites, etc. that produce blonde jokes if I can find a lawyer willing to take the case. My dear, you've obviously joined the wrong political party if the bent of your nature is to sue over intended/unintended jokes relating to hair color whether they are personally directed at yourself or not. The party that upholds discrimination as a mode of influxing new members and as a way of maintaining anatgonism between their own members and all Americans, in general, is the Democratic one.
Now if your comment was in jest, please accept my apology! And a hearty LOL!
