The two-thirds will include most humans on earth, not just Yisrael. When the Messiah Yashua returns there will be only a remanant of his believers left. Praise YAHWEH, praise His Name!!!!

The writer of this opinion piece needs to research Israel's history and the Jewish religion before ever trying to weigh in on the subject again.

The only problem with all this stuff is the millenium theory that says Jesus will come and establish an earthly kingdom. The kingdom has already been established.

Jesus taught that the kingdom was coming soon.

Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

If the kingdom has not already come there are people alive today who are over 2000 years old.

Matthew 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

If the kingdom has not come yet then we have been commanded to seek that which cannot be found.

Luke 12:31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

If the kingdom is going to be estalished in physical Israel then how can it come without observation?

Luke 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Jesus stated plainly that he would not have an earthly kingdom.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Jesus said the kingdom would come with power in their lifetime.

Mark 9:1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

Jesus said to the apostles that they would recieve power when the Holy Ghost came upon them.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The Holy Ghost fell upon them on Pentecost when the church was established.

Acts 1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

After Pentecost, Christians were described as being in the kingdom.

Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.

Even John, who wrote the book of Revelation, described himself as already being in the kingdom of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

When Jesus comes back the kingdom will not be established, but rather it will be the end of everything.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

1 Cor 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

Therefore pre-millenialism can not be true. The kingdom of God is already here, regardless of what goes on in the middle east.

Presenter: Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld Tuesday,

August 6, 2002 - 11 a.m. EDT

Secretary Rumsfeld Town Hall Meeting

"My feeling about the so-called occupied territories are that there was a war, Israel urged neighboring countries not to get involved in it once it started, they all jumped in, and they lost a lost of real estate to Israel because Israel prevailed in that conflict. In the intervening period, they've made some settlements in various parts of the so-called occupied area, which was the result of a war, which they won.

They have offered up -- successive prime ministers have offered up various portions of that so-called occupied territory, the West Bank, and at no point has it been agreed upon by the other side.

It has no more theological importance than Rhode Island.

And as someone who grew up in RI, I can tell you any place has more importance, theological or otherwise, than RI. ;)

"You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, Know when to walk away and know when to run."

I cut my teeth in computer graphics on the venerable Tektronix 4051, which had a primitive tape drive and unique commands..."PLOT-50". Other individuals not so familiar with its "operating system" required a mnemonic, so I wrote:

"You gotta know when to old em,
Know when to bold em,
Know when to hit the break key,
Know when to run;

"You never save your program
Before you find the tape file...
There'll be time enough for saving
When the file is found"
.

You sorta had to be there.

This is truly weird. Presumably the intention is to drive a wedge of mistrust and dislike between Jews and Evangelicals, and as such it makes a bit of sense. But I fail to see what interest World Net Daily has in driving this wedge, or in encouraging the Jews to abandon Israel.

Certainly the argument makes no logical sense. If you believe that the Jews are God's chosen people, then they should follow the Covenant and trust in Him. Even if many of them die, it's better to die obeying God than defying Him. If you don't believe in God--as this writer apparently doesn't--then there's no reason to think that these are the "end times."

This piece is foolish, politically stupid, and malicious.

Once the Muslims kill themselves off, if you still think your barren strip of land is important, then you can go back.

I haven't been there, but from what I have seen and heard, Isreal is no longer a barren strip of land. This is part of what makes the Arabs so jealous.

I've studied the prophetic passages of the Bible as much as LaHaye and Hagee have, and the B.S. meter in one of the posts on this thread has their credibility about right. They are pushing the Darbyite dispensationalism that came into vogue with the little group called the Plymouth Brethren in the mid-1800s in England and was popularized by the Scofield Study Bible in America. Their view was unknown in Christian history before that time. It has played particularly well in America because most Americans can't imagine ever going through any tribulation for their faith, as the early church did, and as most Christians across most of our world do today. LaHaye doesn't have enough time to read the books he's publishing right now, much less write them. He and his ghostwriter[s] have hit on a money-making formula and are turning out books faster than Clinton can lie. As a result, a whole generation of Christians will be completely unprepared for any persecution of tribulation. And they will [are] succeeding in making Biblical prophecy look like a cartoon with their bombastic infantile interpretations. They are also vehemently opposed to the Doctrines of Grace upon which most of Protestantism and Baptist theology were constructed. Junk theology for a biblically illiterate populace [and I mean in the churches, not just in the world].

This guy has his tinfoil beannie on WAY too tight, the oxygen depravation is gonna give him all kinds of crazy visions. This of course is one of them.

Israel will be attacked, but Israel is gonna kick some ass in the process and become a lot bigger in landmass.

THese poor delusional types that actually believe this crap just amaze me. It's prophecy, the end time is near. The end time has been near for the last 2000 years, somebody get a fricking clue here.

Oh boy. Genesis tells exactly who Israel consists of in the latter days. It's not just Jewish people! Jacob's trouble is America's, Britain's, Canada's, Israel's, Australia's, and western Europe's trouble! Hagee better worry about his own butt along with Israel's.

I don't understand. So what is this saying? If America helps Israel it's because we want to see 2/3's of them die? IF I read this correctly, it's simply not true, IMHO.
