Mr Bush's blunt approach came as relief from Mr Clinton's "I feel your pain" approach. Mr Bush did what Mr Clinton would never dare to do: he spoke of good and evil. And, to the embarrassment of British observers, he invokes God. "Our purpose as a nation is firm, yet our wounds are recent and unhealed and lead us to pray," he said last September 14. Wonderful!

Yawn. When is this president going to take REAL steps in protecting this country from more terrorism? So far in the wake of 9/11 he has kept our borders open to the never ending 3rd world invasion, he refuses to allow the government to enforce its own immigration laws, he continues to push for amnesty for illegal aliens and, incredibly, continues to allow immigration from terrorist harboring nations. When it comes to domestic matters, Bush is as wimpy as any democrat. Hard to get excited about his recent photo-ops as it seems all too choreographed to play to the Sheeple.

We can't be jaundiced. Whatever my disagreements with President Bush, I want him to kick UN tail tomorrow.
Buckle up, we're going to war with Iraq, and there's a risk that WMDs will be used, at home and abroad. I'm gonna be 100% behind the President for that endeavor.

Thanks for the ping. It really is a great editorial.

I agree. Closing the borders should have been the FIRST STEP taken after 9/11. The second step should have been denial of visas, and then deportations. The borders are still open, visas are still being granted to middle easterners, and he's still trying to legalize illegal aliens against the will of most of America. This only encourages the continued invasion. None of this makes sense. If someone can tell me why it makes sense, I'll listen.

None of this makes sense. If someone can tell me why it makes sense, I'll listen. Well said Janet. What's going on is pure insanity and I've given up trying to figure out the "whys". When future historians study this era of American history I think they will be scratching their heads too.

So, I hope the Islamofascist Motherf**kers that lit this candle understand that while they may have landed the first shot, God himself will help us see to it that we land the last."I still like the quote (was it 'Stormin Norman?) about FORGIVENESS....went something like we leave forgiveness to GOD and it our responsibility to expedite the meeting!

You didn't watch Fox News tonight did you?
The borders are more secure then they have been in 200 years !
"push for amnesty for illegal aliens and,"
You'd be sleepin haven't you? Bush has never one time said he was for illegal aliens - Post one quote from Bush where he has supported this !
"incredibly, continues to allow immigration from terrorist harboring nations."
Bullsh*t, the new laws passed just put a clam down on Visas from several countries--over 500,000 Arabs with Visas have to get an ID and be finger printed etc.. !
The real world doesn't work as fast as your mind does and espically the Gov't !

The borders are more secure then they have been in 200 years! They are? Tell that to the tens of thousands of Mexicans that continue to cross our borders illegally every month. The belated and reluctant efforts Bush has made in beefing up our border security since 9/11 can be described as meager at best.
Bush has never one time said he was for illegal aliens - Post one quote from Bush where he has supported this !
He hasn't? I just got a letter from Bush today where he says he is for Amnesty for illegals. Oh of course he won't say "Amnesty" knowing the political backlash that word creates with the public but he is dead-set in passing 245(i) and that bill is an Amnesty bill. Sorry, those are the REAL facts, not spin.
"incredibly, continues to allow immigration from terrorist harboring nations."

Key words being "New" and "ID" not, as I said, halting immigration from terrorist harboring nations. Yes, it still continues and if you have confidence in the INS in being able to effectively screen out the terrorists among these visitors you are more gullible than I thought.

The Americans' president Excerpt:
Imagine what the reactions of Mr Clinton, say, or Al Gore might have been to September 11. Mr Gore's hallmark is caution; his finger-wagging attitude would have been woefully inadequate. Americans felt that Mr Bush was with them, not an external critic. He took America into war in Afghanistan, and the war was won.
To Americans, this seems not embarrassing, but natural and right. After September 11, Mr Bush's approval ratings were the second highest in American history, 88 per cent. Even now, despite some anxiety over war on Iraq, his ratings are 69 per cent - Mr Clinton's all-time high.

Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my President Bush ping list!. . .don't be shy.
