EMAIL I RECEIVED. I didn't write this, but I agree with it.
I can't wait till today is over. Katie Couric and the morning news morons just whined for two hours about 9-11. I've heard enough. Americans died. It was sad. We should spend one minute in silent prayer, read the Gettysburg Address and get on with the business at hand. America is a country of second sons, ass-kickers, builders, dreamers, schemers, and all-around bad asses. F*** all this Opraesque whining. Let's commemorate the day by holding a national pep rally for beating Al-Queida, and celebrate the anticipation of the day when we find Osama's camel pasture send a scud missile up his ass.
See ya round.

I turn to CNN now and then to see if there is any breaking news (and believe me I have NOT been parking in front of the tube today.) But all I see is Aaron Brown and his sanctimonious, melodromatic drivel - the man seriously needs to see a shrink, methinks, for an acute case of Post-911 Syndrome. According to a clip I heard on Rush Limbaugh yesterday, Brown used to hang out at Ground Zero on a regular basis just to "meditate."

Yeah, I still haven't decided between whatever's on the History Channel (or Discovery or TLC) and Sopranos Season 3. I am interested in reviews/ documentaries/ what ever on the day. But I can't stand turning on my TV and seeing a bunch of people holding candles and crying, regardless of the event, that kind of stuff just turns my stomache.

No flames from this corner. 100%!

Thanks for reminding me to not turn on the television today.

This might be, I am afraid, perhaps too much energy INWARDLY DIRECTED. We have to summon the rest of our energy, after of course the fitting, necessary and respectful proper memorials, to then generate it OUTWARD in anger and revenge to fully track down and destroy the Islamic Fundamentalists who are planning even new horrendous attacks on you and I as we type here. The War is not over!
As it is, it (US TV coverage) I think is going overboard.
But this is the practical manifestation in a country such as the United States where soft, political correctness has imbedded itself deeply in the national consciousness.
Kumbaya, brother. (While the local Rad-Islamist cell gathers together the ingredients for the next car bomb.)
Rush Limbaugh has it so right on this point.

Let's commemorate the day by holding a national pep rally for beating Al-Queida Pep Rally? I'd prefer the commenoration be in the form of slogans and messages scribbled onto LGBs, JSOWs and other ordinance, that would be delievered ASAP.

Let my ears hear the song of the lamentation of their women! That is the sound of victory! A majority of Americans do not realize that they are in a war with Islam.
Many think that after 9/11/02 passes w/out incident, we are out of the woods.
They are fools! These bastids will strike in their own time.
I'm afraid one shot to the head isn't enough to wake us up. !^[

To all those who have their US Flag at half-staff:
We're at war! Raise it up as high as it goes! There's a job to do, and being in a state of mourning isn't doing it.

I am glad I am not the only one that feels this way. Even the weather channel had some 9/11 stuff.
I remember. I do not need anyone to remind me. If there is anyone in this country that has forgotten, all of these memorials are not going to help him. I did know some folks in college in the 60's who would probably forget something like this, but they are long gone, and their brains are in jars in some lab somewhere.

Sad but true. Your words force us to view the world NOT AS WE WISH IT WOULD BE, but rather, HOW IT REALLY IS. We must get past this denial. We almost have to be unnaturally forced into this cold realthink, because it is contrary to our good and warm American nature of wanting to be liked by everyone, and naively always having the good of people in mind (which is both a blessing and a curse).
The evil ones are plotting right now as we write! They must be obliterated. Enough crying on the US side for today; it's time for the whimpering and wailing to come from the cesspots in the middle east that are the hometowns of these evil and vile radical fundamentalist enemies.

Wow, well put!

Er...I thought that the flags were at half-staff on the order of the President?
To: ivegotabrain
Probably. I don't care. Raise them to the top!

Get that up on the NY, NJ and CT FR locale pages. Short notice but a counter-protest FReep is in order.
Just don't get between NYC's finest and these communists, as I'm sure more than a few New Yorkers will want to pound these idiots.
