Club owner, staff testify officials expressed dislike of hip-hop crowd

An attorney for a former Redwood City nightclub owner told a federal jury in San Francisco that city officials discriminated against his client because they didn't like his mostly African-American and Latino patrons. A lawyer for the city said the city's decision to close the club was about public safety, not race.

There is a direct relationship between rap (hip hop) and violence. A manegerial decision was made. If people are unhappy, go to another club.

Even more specific, there is a direct link with KMEL and almost every instance of "concert"-related riots in Silicon Valley in the past decade. It's not profiling, it's a description.
