And per Channel 13 in Tampa, most of the counties are still behind counting and won't resume until 9 a.m. EDT. To make matters even more amusing than ever, the one Demoratic stronghold, and hold on to your seats everyone as this really is a shocker, Palm Beach County will not resume any counting or recount until they meet at 1 p.m. today!!!! But don't worry, they'll blame Jeb because he invented the microchip that powers the touch screen and sent gremlins down to Broward to screw with Janet "Let's BBQ Kids" Reno.

Seeing the Butcher of Waco go down in defeat in the primary would be pretty sweet. Yes indeed! Even though she would be an easier opponent for Jeb, she has to be stopped now, by Democrats. A win or a close defeat by Bush in the general election would only encourage her and others on the Left.
Bill and Hillary! spawned many little cockroaches now running for office, all encouraged by Hillary!s victory in New York. Had she been defeated then and there, we wouldnt have to be dealing with Reno and the other roaches now.

Even though she would be an easier opponent for JebHeard an interesting discussion by a political analyst the other day. He said the reason Jeb ran those McBride ads is because he wanted to boost McBride's name recognition. This guy said that Bush preferred to run against McBride rather than Reno.
Reason being: How do you criticize an elderly woman with Parkinson's disease without coming across as mean-spirited (especially in a State where so many of the voters are elderly.) The analyst said running a campaign against McBride would be much easier for the Bush team since McBride was pro-tax and a big time lawyer.
When I heard the guy's analysis, it made perfect sense why Jeb ran the ads against McBride and not against Reno.

Frankly, I want Reno to win, (she would have no chance against Jeb) but obviously she is not. People said the same thing about Hillary! vs. Guiliani. things change! No! Reno and the rest of the Clinton roaches must be defeated as soon as they show up on a ballot.

If that spin had comes from Jeb's camp, I might be skeptical, but if it came from an independent analyst, it is possible for me to buy into it.
If McBride is pro-tax (which he is-it's the only way he could fund the "classroom size" amendment), then Jeb will win.

This is a POV I had not heard....and upon reflection...makes good political strategy....thanks for posting what you heard.

Another thread says Blacks are already screaming about the new touch screen voting, claiming they don't work so they are being turned away. Although apparently if they don't, you can write in your vote! Blacks must wake up to the wonderful world of Software Voting in Florida! If it doesnt work, that means you are voting for the wrong candidate! So try this: Vote for the correct candidate
and then go and write in another vote for him!

PBC. This is exciting! Hopefully they'll be able to reprogram enough voting machines to push Janet over the top. Who would have thought that I would like thses people LOL!

just gettin up on the left coast...what's the latest?
To: Nuke'm Glowing
I'm back. Good morning!
Nuke, did you hear Mark Larsen interview Reno yesterday morning on 1040 AM? He had her in a corner. He ran the numbers on the classroom size amendment, asking her how we were supposed to afford it. It came to like 3 times the current state budget. She got pretty 'snippy' with him too.
I expect McBribe to fold under those types of questions.

so tell us what the latest from the polls?
To: kellynla
Looks like McBride by a significant margin. Im not sure the exact numbers. i heard last night that Reno might try a court challenge.
Wonder who the Supervisors of Elections are. Most likely Dems. That should be fun! They should have hired Freepers to set up those goofy new machines.

Not too significant. Check the other posts and threads. Reno down about 20,000 with only some Broward precints left to be counted. May get interesting!
To: ovrtaxt
checked the FL website and McBride 45% to Reno %42. So what happens, do they go to court and if Reno wins is there another election. Man talk about incompetence! And they have had two years to get this problem solved.
To: kellynla
The Sec. of State said last night "What the hell have they been doing for two years?" about the time Jeb ordered the polls open late. That's the crux of the challenge, if there is one. The election was compromised because of irregularities in the administration of the polling places.

i heard last night that Reno might try a court challenge. Yeah, her campaign manager has said they are going to have to look very closely at the validity of the election. Oh please, let them file a lawsuit and let it go to the Florida Supreme Court. That would be just too rich!
