Trying to put myself in a democrat's place, I cannot imagine voting for Reno, knowing the opposition.
I would be looking for anyone BUT Reno!

The best of all worlds would be a post-election recount battle between Reno & McBride ala Election 2000 over who really won. Of course, the Broward & Palm Beach county votes would be at the center of the recount. I pray that the margin of difference between the two would boil down to 537 votes. I would call it Karmatic Kickback.

Do you know which are Reno's and which are McBride's strong counties?

Hillsborough will be McBride's strongest, he is from Tampa and there are signs all over the place for him.

We probably won't even know the Broward vote totals until at least tomorrow because of all the voting confusion here.

Katherine Harris seems set to storm the GOP primary in the Sarasota area. I find it hard to believe some liberal judge is going to go against Sarasota voters wishes and kick her off the general election ballot. But Florida's a weird place and you never know. I guess we'll just have to wait to see if Katherine makes it to Congress come November.
To: shempy
McBride would be very strong in the Tampa area.
To: hole_n_one
Ah - the Senior Citizens from New York haven't weighed in yet.

I strongly suspect that the judge will rule in favor of Katharine, especially since the Governor and the Attorney General of Florida, Bob Butterworth, backed her up.

The only glimmer of hope is that if they kicked her off, Butterworth would suffer.

no we wont know the final totals until carol roberts searches the trunk of her car tomorrow and find a few voting machines that have not been counted yet or maybe a couple of black churches in orange county find more votes in their closet

I can only speak for Tallahassee. Frankly, I want Reno to win, (she would have no chance against Jeb) but obviously she is not. McBride has picked up a lot of support over the last several months. But by and large, he is a one-issue candidate.....education. I have 4 tennis friends who are teachers and they support McBride and his support is growing quickly. I can't understand why anyone would vote for someone with zero experience and influencial contacts. Jeb Bush, just by his name, would be advantageous to Floridians, but he has a lot of enemies here. Not the least of which is MEDIA.

I heard about this :)
but it would still be better if she won.
To: goldstategop
Maybe if she is kicked off the ballot she can do a Sports Illustrated pictorial on a Sarasota beach! But I still hope she wins.

I have a feeling if Reno does lose that we will hear that somehow she was cheated. LOL! This could be great. Another thread says Blacks are already screaming about the new touch screen voting, claiming they don't work so they are being turned away. Although apparently if they don't, you can write in your vote!
