This excerpt from Channel 8, Tampa, FL:
MIAMI - Florida's first big test of its new elections system turned into a nightmare Tuesday as polling stations opened late on a busy primary day and problems cropped up with the touchscreen voting machines brought in after the 2000 debacle.
Election workers in Orlando said 42 percent of Orange County's ballots would have to be counted by hand after polls closed. The ballots were tearing as they were fed through optical scanning machines, making them unreadable. The county has nearly 426,000 voters.

Thanks. With 46% of precincts in and major problems in Broward, it's not looking good for Janet.
To: PogySailor
Are you watching Channel 8?
To: I still care
So I guess Janet will not be long for this world. Can't let her get in Hillary's way, can we?
My thoughts also.

Reno with almost all votes counted carries Marion County by about 150 votes. Let me tell you, we miss those 'Lincoln Republicans' here in the GOP, they were loyal for nothing for decades, we had a Lincoln GOP County Chairman until WWII. No more, that's for sure.

How do you like the way the college towns, Tallahassee and Gainesville (Leon and Alachua), marched to the polls for McBride like so many storm troopers?
To: Torie
Yeah, I'm with you. Breaking 2:1 in heavily populated counties can close the gap very quickly. But she'd better get a move on if she's gonna make up 80K votes.

It is a mess all over , the ballots in Orlando are shredding and can't be read by the scanner.

I only talk to myself after another couple of cocktails. St. Lucie is one of the smaller Atlantic coast counties between Cape Canaveral and the Gold Coast. I think that it is Vero Beach. That is nearly 200 miles from here, I never heard that it had a large black population, maybe it is actually due to good organizational work by the Reno people.
To: PhiKapMom
Good grief! Hadn't seen that one.

WWSB interviewed John Hill. He says the race is not over, because it is in the courts. Katherine will not speak to reporters until the last precinct checks in.
To: KQQL
Broward is Reno's only hope but I don't think she is going to make it here since there are only a little over 100,000 predicted to vote in this county and Reno needs over 80,000 votes to close the gap. Ain't gonna happen.
