By the way, none of the above is designed to curtail valid criticism of the President, the war or the Republican Party. There are many things about the President's policies and the Republican Party that are truly deserving of criticism, and there are programs and policies that should be changed or withdrawn. But what I am after for the coming years is to elect as many Republicans as possible, especially conservative Republicans, and to give them an opportunity to overcome and out vote the liberals and moderates of both parties.
We need conservative judges. We need to block the leftist/sovereignty robbing treaties. We need to cut taxes, cut spending, cut regulation and cut government while maintaining a strong military and a strong national defense. These are my goals.

And, no, I do not receive any funding from the Republican party, or anyone else. Free Republic is funded solely by reader donations.
See y'all later. Gone FReepin.

Thank you Jim for this board and your steady hand...

I registered to vote today.
We're gonna take this thing back completely.
Let the haters whine about the minutia involved but for me....right now....the fight is against the Left. The internal bickering can wait until we have taken back our government.

Bravo, Jim. Yes sir. The time and effort we use to criticize each other is better and more productively spent on keeping the Left in our crosshairs.
They are the real enemies. But we'd rather engage in a circular shootout and let the Left off the hook.

Great line.
The elections this year are very important.

Oh, I forgot: Stay the course. You're the one that's right, in spite of what the AF-feeder said.

Your focus on the judges is key. Judges made themselves more powerful than Congress and the President combined. Judges are taking complete control of our everyday lives, dragging down our economy, and reinforcing liberal dogmas. Judges are also easy targets, such as that burglar who successfully sued homeowners when he cut himself breaking in their window. Without a GOP senate, that is not going to change.
Your advice to third parties must have been difficult to say. Because like you said, "God bless them." Exactly. They are patriots, but at the same time, we need to push through a senate majority.

After reading this article (
Democrats for Regime Change) today, I believe we should concentrate on removing Sen. Dasshole as Senate Majority leader. Leader is not a title he should possess.

i STILL STRONGLY AGREE.
BTW, Jim, I hate to try and tackle such a problem with law but I wonder what practical solution there might be . . .
I think government should have a very low minority of lawyers instead of 90+%??? At least they should not have a larger proportion of legislative posts than their percentage in the population.
I also think Judges should NOT be lawyers at all. Judges need to be acknowledged fair, honorable, honest, down to earth; salt of the earth folk with a long track record of such in their local communities before becoming a judge--including of the Supreme court.
I believe these two things could raise conservatism a lot--at least freedom a lot. I'm curious if you have any thoughts on such.

The Libertarians, Reformers, and other third parties know they cannot win national races. They do a great job writing, debating, and fighting for our constitutional rights, but they are not effective enough to win races. God bless them, they do not have and never will have the numbers necessary to win. .......We need conservative judges. We need to block the leftist/sovereignty robbing treaties.
