I was not sticking up for him, nor was I then claiming you weren't paying attention. I'm sorry if the sardonic humor was lost on you. It happens when one can't hear the voice things are said with. Sorry for the confusion.

Explanation: Baldwin correction: I was mocking the obvious defense of Baldwin's comments - he'd been misquoted. "Paying attention": As with Clinton's lawyers claim that he wasn't a perjurer because he had his own reality, upon analysis the defense isn't an improvement.
