I did not know that Pat Sajak was a Republican, but I did know that he is a very intelligent and witty guy. One of the stops they left out on this resume was a couple of years he spent in Nashville where, in addition to doing the local weather he also hosted a Saturday night movie. He did some bizarre and very funny things. well ahead of his time. bttt

Now we know why Pat allowed Limbaugh to replace him one night on CBS many years ago!

I hope Pat Sajak has lots of money saved and has a long-term contract, because I know for darn sure that the long knoves will be out.
This is a wonderful piece, and he just about hits all the bases. Thanks for the ping, Liz!

The long KNIVES will be out, too!

I guess Ed Grimley was right, he does seem like a decent guy, I must say...

Good for Pat....here's hoping his courage inspires more Hollywood GOPers to come 'out of the closet'.....LOL

About 10 years ago I went to a dinner to honor Clarence Thomas that was put on by the Claremont Institute. Pat Sajack gave the opening remarks. Yes, he is a great conservative.

Awesome piece by Pat.

Thanks so much for posting this! I never would have guessed that Pat was so REAL - I just figured that all of them were just like he says they are. This guy had his head on right - the Republican Party could certainly use his skills to get out the message.

Fine speech and a good post from a site that isn't that well known. Hillsdale College and IMPRIMIS one small voice in an awfully "progressive" (really means liberal) academic world.

So what's got Rob so upset? . . .He wants to get rid of smoking. There's too much smoking in movies. I suggest he take on OBESITY. Oops, he'd have to lose a TON before he could become the FAT police.
Kudos to Pat Sajak. I never liked Wheel of Fortune, but applaud his stand!

Glad you liked the piece Miss M.
And don't you worry, if Hollywarped so much as touches a hair on Pat's head, they're going to have to deal with FR.
