It's all around you, especially in beautiful West Virginia.

Go buy yourself a copy of The Origin of the Species and read it. Rememeber the parts about genera and species.

Then go buy yourself a copy of Peterson's Guide to Eastern Wild Flowers. Then take several Sunday afternoons and go to the woods or fields. Try to identify all the flowers you find. Carefully note the fact there are families. genera and species. As you learn to identify there will be many that are hard because they are not as shown. They are different. They are evolution in action.

All you have to do is learn a little about botany and there will be more evidence than you have time to digest. It's all there now waiting for you to discover.

You forgot to mention our beautiful road cuts with layers upon layers upon layers of exposed sedimentary and fossiliferous strata, each one an ecological zone. (OK, one of the best ones in the region is actually over in Maryland.)
