YOUR TAX DOLLARS SPREAD ISLAM ACROSS AMERICA

Today's Column

YOUR TAX DOLLARS SPREAD ISLAM ACROSS AMERICA

Why are your tax dollars being spent to spread Islam?

More to the point, why is the United States government paying to bring Middle Eastern and African Muslims here to teach their religion to us?

Sounds kooky, huh?

But it’s exactly what’s happening.

Right now, 10 members of the Royal Saudi Department of Islamic Education are on a three-week tour of the United States visiting mosques and making public appearances to promote Islam and seek converts.

Paid for by the U.S. State Department.

Over the weekend, a Saudi government official whose job is to make sure everyone in that country is Muslim told a little mosque in suburban Salt Lake City that the goal is to convert everyone in the United States to Islam.

I kid you not.

He – Muntaser Aseeri – said that, with eight million Muslims in America already, “If each one of them tried to reach 40 people here, all Americans would become Muslims.”

Which is fine for him to say – on his own dime.

But seems disgusting for the American taxpayer to have to underwrite. The 10 Commandments can’t be displayed on public property, kids can’t pray in schools and “under God” has to be taken out of the Pledge of Allegiance, but the federal government can financially sponsor the proselyting of what most of us consider a pagan religion.

Weird.

And dramatically at odds with the way most people read the Constitution.

It just seems wrong, as we approach the anniversary of 9-11, for Americans to be paying Saudis to travel the country promoting their government’s religion.

Actually, it seems wrong at any time.

Yet this is at least the third such trip the U.S. State Department has paid for in recent months. Earlier propaganda tours included Muslim leaders and missionaries from Pakistan and Africa. The thinking is that this will foster and benefit from an American “interest” in Islam following the terrorist attacks on us last September.

For whatever reason, while we are supposedly at war with Islamic terrorists, the federal government has decided to put on a public relations campaign for Islam. Not just to put on it’s best face, but – as the quote from the Saudi guy shows – spread the dream of making the United States a Muslim nation.

Repeating: Weird.

Because, it wasn’t Americans whose intolerance of Saudis drove them to go over there and kill thousands of people. No, it was Saudis whose intolerance of Americans drove them to come over here and kill thousands of people. So, if there’s anybody who needs a diversity lesson on getting along with others, it’s them.

Not us.

Yet I don’t suspect the Saudi government is about to pay a bunch of Baptist ministers to go over and teach those towel-headed heathens about the Lord Jesus Christ. Nor do I think there’s much chance the Saudis will pay for some rabbis to fly over and give public seminars on the Passover.

Oh, that’s right. I forgot.

Christianity and Judaism are illegal in Saudi Arabia.

The odd fact is, their religion gets a foothold here because we’re civilized, and ours can’t get a foothold there because they’re not.

And your tax dollars are being spent to make us more like them.

Which raises another interesting question.

Why is the State Department trying to influence American opinion and culture?

I thought the role of the State Department was to handle foreign policy, not domestic religion or propaganda. I thought the job of the State Department was to assert American interest overseas, not subvert American culture at home.

Isn’t the State Department supposed to teach the world about us, not us about the world? Shouldn’t it be working to make the world more like America, not America more like the world?

I mean, isn’t the State Department on our side – not theirs?

There are troublesome problems in all of this. Not just the meddling of State Department social engineers in domestic matters, but the essential “establishment of religion” by the federal government and the inherent discrimination against all other religions not similarly funded.

The pope, for example, had to pay his own way to America, though he is a foreign religious official on a proselyting mission – just like the Saudi clerics. Ditto for leaders of the Eastern and Greek Orthodox churches. And the Dalai Llama.

How could this happen?

How could this possibly represent the interests of the American people?

How could the Bush Administration be involved with this, and how could the Congress let it?

Gotta say I'm with RHOACO and mickie on this.  Posting something of that size in a discussion thread is inappropriate and completely clutters the thread.  That's why posters are complaining about it.  Just put up a link and anyone who wants to go through all that information can.

Go here. Click on Advanced Search. On the page that leads you to enter the word "Islamic" in the "keyword(s)" field then your state in the state field. For example, entering "Islamic" and California will yield 175 "hits".

These are the Islamic "nonprofits". There are 1166 on Guidestar (countrwide). Which means that your tax dollars subsidize their operations. They pay no taxes, their mailings costs are reduced, etc. The same thing applies to other "religions" in the US. But I'm not aware of the Baptists (16255 hits countrywide) or the Methodists (2751 hits countrywide) or or the Catholics (8995) or any other "religion" expousing the death of this country as we know it and the overthrow of our gov't. Which also means the death of the other religions in this country. That's one of the "rubs" about Islam in America. It demands that there be no religious freedom. Only Islam.

Islam is anti-American. It's very nature and construct is totally converse to what this country was founded on. Some say Islam is evil. Well, maybe. But it's more than a religion. It's fascist to it's own "followers" and thugish to those that don't follow it.

Islam wants us all to bend our knees to Islam. It is not built for anything else. And since it sees not difference between "religion", "laws" and "politics" it's intent is the overthrow of the current US gov't. And that's us.

9/11 was a big mistake on their part. Many of us now see Islam for what it is. Count me out.

Exactly, what all these people criticizing the length of the articles I appended seem to miss is that this is all part of the strategy. Yes Islam is offensive, but no, it doesn't always come from the sword or gun. There are other offensive methods, mentioned in the articles, etc. Again, these guys want a quick 30 second solution and not to know their enemies...so they moan that there is to much to read.

yes, links are good. So, could you post a link too? I went to http://www.state.gov/ but I can't find info on the State Department funding the Saudis US missionary trips to win converts. I can't find anything about the US paying Saudis to travel within the US at all.

I have no problem with government to government exchange programs, no problem with our state department attempting to diffuse hate between America and other cultures. But if our government is paying to import and support religious mission work, I want to know. But before I get all torqued outta shape, I want proof that it's really happening, and not being misrepresented or exaggerated by this particular talk show host. Our State Department, after 8 Clinton years, is bad enough without that.

Thanks, and I'll email Lonsberry, with the same request.

If you've got the time, I think it would be informative for the Koran direct quotes to have a thread of their own. Posted under "religion", and archived properly, they would provide, easily found and valuable, reference material.

I haven't been able to wade through your entire reply, much less understand it, but I appreciate having it available.

Question for President Bush, Do happen to have a spare Tomahawk I can borrow?

And just where is the ACLU and People for the American Way?
Sounds to me like what we have here is a violation of the seperation of church and state. That is unless the state dept. is going to sponsor a trip by the Vatican or the Metropolitian Bishop of Moscow.

I think what may be being over looked here is the role Islam may play in the last days. Bush has spoken often of how radicals "highjacked" the peaceful Islam religion. The truth is Islam "highjacked" the Torah and Satanically twisted it, rewrote it, and placed their twisted concoction the Quran forward as the ultimate word of God.

Their god, is Satan, the father of lies, and they do as their father does, lie with regularity and impunity and defend their lie to the death, or until the first opportunity to run away in battle. Palestinians have no concept of truth, no Arab nation does. Truth has no place in their cultures. Truth is losing it's place and value in our culture, so Islam may really begin to flourish world wide.

Here is something to ponder, it is interesting that the punishment for Christians eventually, is beheading for their testimony of Jesus. I find it interesting that this type of capital punishment is common in Muslim nations.

Here is something else to ponder:
2 Th 27: "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

We live in interesting times, and it is very interesting that Islam is being pushed forward by a government that is not suppose to "establish" a religion. Yet this government, some public schools, and colleges, appears to be throwing out the money to do just that under the guise, the deception, of "understanding" Islam, and it is interesting that this is springing also from Powell's State Dept.

You think Liberals are weird now? Imagine living in a world where most of the population of earth is deluded and mentally unstable. Christians that study the word of God don't doubt for a moment that the people of the Earth are headed for a strong delusion eventually. Is it Islam? I guess we will find that out sooner or later also. It certainly fits many of the qualifications.

Good post. I've read a lot of this kind of stuff the past few months. The "devil is in the details". And the devil is certainly in Islam.
