Ollie North was asked about this just after 9/11. His response was that if bin Laden had these devices, he'd have used them. OBL always plays with the biggest club in his bag. On 9/11, he played his biggest club. If he'd had a nuke that day, he'd have used it instead. The fact that he hasn't used a nuke is a pretty good indication that he doesn't have one.

(A more likely scenario is that he got conned by the Russian mafia. They are already thought to have tricked Al Qaeda into buying a container that was merely contaminated with medical isotopes. It was found in one of their "secret labs" in Afghanistan. The container was hot enough to pass inspection, but contained nothing.)

Suitcase nukes use a tridium isotope if I remember correctly, They have to be replaced every 6 months or the things will not go off, they are so much radioactive garbage.

If they have a few of them, it doesn't do them a damn bit of good, the most they could do is run down the street and smack people upside the head with them.

I knew just from the headline that this stupid story was from News Max.

4 years ago they ran a series scare pieces explaining how Russia was on the verge of hitting us with a surprise Nuclear attack. Anything to sell this e-rag…

But hey, they're "conservative" right? Why hold them accountable. (They couldn't possibly reflect bad on us.)
