Well the one thing I admire the most about our President is that he if a man of faith. He has publicly stated that he prays. And he believes. And unlike Clinton he does not do this for show or to look good.He is truly a man of God.And if there ever was a time we need a man of God, it's in these perilous times.

Yes, I'm ashamed that I have Clinton's name on my commission.

Personally, I believe Saddam was complicit in the September 11th attacks. While some may forget innocent office workers' jumping out the World Trade Center, I won't. I'll never forget seing a smoky hole where one of my favorite buildings used to stand. I passed through those buildings every day. I should have been in them on that day.

I do not think we should rest until Al Qaeda is obliterated and any government that supported them, NO MATTER HOW SMALL AND INCONSEQUENTIAL, is removed from power.

Our government goofed big time. The ONE job that the federal government is SUPPOSED to do, protect our country from foreign attack, it failed at. Congress should have declared war on "Al Qaeda and any states that supported it" in the anguishing days following the attack. But we get our amorphous "war on terrorism".

I really think it will take another attack before the politicos open their eyes and recognize their threat.

The Czech version of the CIA keeps insisting that Mohammed Atta (may he burn in Hell forever) met with Iraqi intelligence before 9/11; bleating denials from the Washington Post and Newsweek notwithstanding.

The head of the Czech agency even went public saying (to the effect of) "I don't know what you people are talking about; Atta met with this man; we know this man is Iraqi intelligence"

I don't think the Czechs have any motive to make this up. Why would they?

RobFromGa says: I for one could give a CRAP whether OBL is alive, dead or living in Sydney.

I do. I'd like to see his head on a spike. Or maybe a forced sex change operation and then sent back to Saudi. Or maybe put in the general population in Attica and tell the 'sista's' "he's all yours.", or maybe give the gays in Greenwich Village time to work him over. No punishment is too light for the "man".

I think the House of Saud is just as bad as the House of Saddam. I would bet money that their was tacit support of OBL's attack by some of the "princes"

I believe that to be true as well. He's the finest choice we could have made for this time in American history--a Godly man with integrity and a respect for the office of the President, who has surrounded himself with good people to advise him. God bless President Bush. God bless America.

There are hundreds of princes in the House of Saud. Were some of them in on this? I wouldn't doubt it one bit. On the other hand, I really doubt that the king and the crown prince were in on it.

In a monarchy such as that, it is difficult for non-expert westerners to separate the power players from the peripheral members.

In much the same way that we would not like to have the entire American population tarred for the activities of a few American peaceniks in Jerusalem, I hesitate to blanketly indict the entire royal family of Saudi Arabia.

That being said, I am curious about what the Saudis are doing. We hear all sorts of speculation on their non-praticipation, their reluctance to provide assistance, etc. I have no idea how much of that is truth, and how much is disinformation. It is necessary to keep a perspective, because I freely admit I am mistrustful of anyone from that part of the world, especially since 9/11.

I wonder if the royal family has been handling this privately. They did lose two princes in two rather unusual accidents a few weeks ago. Who knows?

The king is a non-entity these days. I don't think he can keep himself from drooling anymore. Another problem with Saudis is the people are more radical than the government . Too much wasabi, I mean Wahhabi, in their couscous. I believe OBL, if he's still alive, knows this and is hoping for an Islamic revolution a la Iran circa 1979. IMO, I wouldn't trust any of the Saudi Royal family farther than I could throw them. The ones that aren't fanatics are self-serving, amoral plutocrats. Actually, that would make things a bit less murky. It ain't gonna get any better over there for a while.

I agree. Attacking Iraq will only escalate terrorism, will cause Americans to take a larger role in the region. American boys will be killed. Our economy will likely go south very fast. The world will become unstable like never before.

I say that we do not attack but instead remain alert. I'm not for making the first move of which I don't see a reason to make.

A. Do you really support the United Nations? What about sovereign nations? Could they not do the same thing to us in the future?

B. They could make it up if they wanted to. The government has lied many times in the past. Who's to say that they won't do it again.

A: No, I don't, and what about them? and no, they couldn't do it to us, we are the world's ONLY superpower and will be the only one for quite a while.

B: Czech intelligence came up with the link, not OUR government. The link exists, no matter what you would like to think.
