Sheila (Davis) aka: "country dummy" a Sister of the River, was transferred to Charleston Area Medical Center via ambulance yesterday morning and placed on a blood thinner (heparin) and nitroglycerin drip.They're calling her condition a pre-cardiac event and the EKG showed she may have some coronary artery blockage. She's to have a heart catheterization Monday morning and was in good spirits when I talked to her today. Please, keep her in your hearts and prayers! Thanks! Ann

They're doing wonders with cardiac medicine these days. We ought to know :) All the medical stuff can be very scary, but the help it gives to patients, the improvements to the quality of life can be incredible.

My prayers are going up for Sheila and Bruce. It appears from your post that her condition was diagnosed early. I pray that this means her medical team can treat her and prevent more extensive damage to her heart.

She sounds like a wonderful lady.

My wife and I really enjoyed meeting her and her daughter at the Patriot's Rally last April. We had exchanged a number of e-mails since then, but we had no clue about her condition. Rest assured; prayers are on the way! (Thank you kindly for the ping!)
