Evidently you are not aware of the group A.N.S.W.E.R. which was the major force behind this rally. I know your intentions are good, but you haven't a clue what you're talking about. Let's just agree to disagree. Next time you see an A.N.S.W.E.R. rally advertised on C-Span, tune in.

P.S. If you live in the Los Angeles area, tune in to KPFK, FM 90.7. You'll get an education rather quickly.

The group pic at the restaurant said it all. You are all folks I would invite into my home for dinner.
Appearances do matter..my daughter worked at Chili's during the 2000 election and some very clean cut well dressed people carrying cell phones came in and had dinner. They were a group of blacks and whites. The waitresses noticed they had Bush pins on. It turns out that they were an advance team for the Bush campaign.
When they got up to leave they left a good tip for the girls and everyone in the restaurant was talking about them.
My daughter said that all of the waitresses (and I'm talking young people here) voted for Bush. So did my daughter in her very first vote.
That was in Florida..and I like to think that maybe they were some of the 500+ that gave Bush the margin of victory.
You never know what comes out of your actions. But I'm positive that people will be attracted to the cause of good people.
I've been to these sort of public rallies and I'm convinced that showing up is in the best interests of Republicans. Look at the contrast between the styles and appearance and we are already a level above our opposition.
Debating them only adds icing to the cake.
Kudos to all of you and it's time for others to join in.
(This ain't the Republican Party of your grandfathers..Dems take note)

I think you're absolutely right. It confounds the opposition when you show up and you're nothing like their preconceived notions. Being friendly, funny and non-confrontational befuddles them every time. I can't tell you how many times I've been to a counter-protest and someone comes up to me with a "What are you doing here, you look nothing like a "Conservative"?!" HangFire gets it all the time, too.

It seems that the leftists on the left coast like to assault people too. This past Saturday one tried to turn off my bull horn here in Colorado. He had a bit to drink before the noon protest. The ironic thing is that my bullhorn does not have an off button on the handle. It is a switch that turns the siren on. I think his two brain cells are still trying to find each other.
Anyway, I like you did not feel it was worth escalating, but I did get his picture. It is just too much trouble once the police arrive trying to explain the CCW in my fanny pack. It gives the appearance of being the aggressor.
The left has a history of getting frustrated because they don't want anyone to express an opposing view to their 'superior' we know what's best for you view. We have been assaulted by a one of the million PMS moms because we attended one of their openly advertised public meetings. Another friend was assaulted in Boulder when Mr. Heston was in town speaking.
One thing we did as the TRT was to assign someone to video tape our demonstrations. I wish I would have had one last weekend. I may have just filed assault charges, petty I know, but my wife and I have 10 children and we know that unless things get nipped in the bud things have a tendency to esscalate.

That's a great sign. I'll make one like it for the antiprotest here tomorrow. (if I don't chicken out.)
I've put out the call for help, but no response so far.
