Two postings regarding the Yugoslav "take-back's" are here and here. The reports are overemphasize that it was a forceful seizure when actually it was agreed to by the Yugos. Meanwhile counter reports appear that Nuclear Threat Remains in Serbia Despite Shipment of Fuel to Russia.

This is all curious. A Ted Turner project called "Nuclear Threat Initiative" with Sam Nunn. Ted Turner as Superman saving the world from nuclear weapons. Where is the kryptonite? How long before we find problems with this search for the idealistic goal to put all the nuclear weapons away? Will all this activity bring about the very problem it serves to eliminate?

Now efforts to conceal materials will go up. And what will the Russians really do with the stuff? Who monitors that? And how easy wil it be to re-establish to weapons-grade material? Lots of questions only left to be discussed by Ted and company?

I just cannot get rid of the notion that these bleeding heart idealists are destined to creat the same kind of destructive mess that we have in the forests in the West given environmentalsits demands for no logging. And gun control creating gun-free killing zones.
