Given that the illegal invasion in California and much of the country has come from our neighbor to the south, and being the Mexicans are considered "Hispanic", I think that it is only fair to show general graphic displays of the invasion.
For the following pictures, you will need to know what each color represents. Thus,, here is the key.
1990
Beige 0.0%-16.6% Hispanic
Yellow 16.7%-33.2% Hispanic
Green-Yellow- 33.4%-53.0% Hispanic
Olive Green- 53.3%-75.2% Hispanic
Forest Green- 75.5%-100.0% Hispanic
2000
Beige 0.0%-18.5% Hispanic
Yellow 18.6%-36.2% Hispanic
Green-Yellow 36.3%-55.6% Hispanic
Olive Green 55.7%-76.4% Hispanic
Forest Green 76.4%-98.4% Hispanic
Check out the size and scope of the invasion as it has manifested itself over the years in the LA area, and compare each LA area from 1990 to 2000.
LA Central 1990
LA Central 2000
LA East 1990
LA East 2000
LA Southeast 1990
LA Southeast 2000
LA North 1990
LA North 2000
LA West/Far West 1990
LA West/Far West 2000
Given that the numbers are slightly differentiating, the contrast between 1990 and 2000 is somewhat weakened. However, despite the number variation, the contrasts can clearly be seen.
Those folks shouldn't be here. You need to start raising hell with your elected officials, county boards and agencies, school administration brass and state welfare agencies to stop that largesse. You can't waltz into your neighboring county and be granted access to the benefits and programs funded by, and designated for, that county's legal residents. They'd tell you to scram, you aren't a legal resident of that county. Yet, these same agencies grant immediate eligibility to folks who aren't legal residents of our COUNTRY. That's absurd. Some ballsy and honorable county attorney has to take this to court, if there are state or federal mandates ensuring illegally resident foreign nationals access to the public resources WE fund. The drain on our public resources, especially in schools that are required to provide bi-lingual instruction to foreign nationals illegally living here is an onerous and oppressive insult to the taxpayers of that district.
Don't blame the immigrants, they're being recruited in Mexico, Somalia, Haiti and elsewhere by agents of Democrat and Ethnic Identity groups like LaRaza who are trolling for new entitlement voting blocs, and they're being actively directed into our welfare systems and schools. To the indigent Mexican, they are improving the economic lives of themselves and their families and agents within our government are literally grabbing them by the arm to give them goodies. What do you expect them to do? The bad guys are the ones facilitating their movement here and putting them on the dole.
35% of all hispanics who live in the US reside in California. Most of the California hispanics trace their ancestory to Mexico.
While the majority of California hispanics are US citizens over 90% are illegal aliens or the progeny of illegal aliens.
The figures which you sited are increases in population, not a percentage of population.
I agree which what you said about California. However, I did not "site" figures. The hispanic (as well as illegal) population is growing everywhere in the states. Forgive me for not having the stats directly on hand, but it has been discussed on this forum ad hominem.
However, we in Aztlan have a huge problem. We are in this together, my friend.
I have no fears about 1st and 2nd generation Americans.
My point was that the overpopulation problem in California, which is at the root of it's eceonmic woes, has been seriously aggrevated by illegal immigartion during the past 50 years.
Theoretically California would have 25% less population and an almost 60% reduction in it's public service responsibilities should immigration laws have been substantially enforced since 1960.
True but I disagree with the consequences of the interpretation of the 14th Amendment.
As I have repeatedly stated on this forum, the location of the birth of the children of illegal immigrants sould not be an automatic threshold to citizenship, it should simply be the first step on the way to citizenship.
You answerewd your own question. The process to get OUT of Mexico legally has the same corrupt bribery base. If you don't have the $$$ to bribe the official, your case ends up at the bottom of the pile or 'lost'. Most do not have the $$ to do this and spend every penny on a coyote to bring them across.
Martial Monk.....your sarcasm is noted.
Anyone who thinks the majority of 19th and 20th century European immigration came legally through Ellis Island is deluded. There has always been a "guy" in a European or Asian city, who for a draconian fee, arranges transport for a go-getter looking for economic opportunitues to a undocumented port in Boston, New York, New Orleans or San Francisco, and that "guy" gave the immigrant the name of a different "guy" in Boston or New York that he needed to go see to be taken care of. That's how it worked. They arranged employment, housing, etc within their ethnic communities. I don't think a lot of the strapping lads from County Cork and the slave "volunteers" from Shanghai and Peking who were busy working and dying building the intercontinental railway had all their papers "in order". Vlassi Sczyblski busting his ass 16 hours in an 1890 era Chicago slaughterhouse probably forgot to apply for his "green card".
It didn't matter, the immigrants, whether they be French, Russian, Italian, Irish, Chinese, German or Dutch, Jew, Catholic or Protestant, all worked honestly, they took the worst crap jobs or started businesses, and they were a net benefit to the economy. They didn't burden the established and tenured citizens in any way. As they built their personal and community economic foundation, they brought family over. They could economically support them. Eventually, they stopped speaking Cantonese, German and Italian. They assimilated, because assimilation was a natural evolution.
The labor market acted as a filter on immigration, if the new guy had no skill or suitability for a job on the docks, or in the mills - he wasn't wanted. Government largesse poisons that dynamic. People who have no productive value are now coming into our community, and it is a burden to all. This insidious political element is discouraging assimilation, because isolated groups who are identified by their ethnic heritage are dependent on the generosity and protection of ... yes ... Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Hillary, Gray Davis etc. That's what's happening here.
Immigration is good. Except Hungarian Gypsies. They can't be trusted. Let's deport Peter Jennings too. Send him to Saskatoon.
In an area that is the most impacted in the United States.
What is the current immigration situation in your area?
The community in which I live is approximately 60% US citizens of Mexican ancestery and 25% Mexicans. The remaining 15% are a mixture of 3rd and 4th generation Americans whoes ancestors settled in this area after the turn of the century.
This area has always depended upon the immigrant to supply cheap labor but prior to the rise of public welfare in the 1960s these immigrants were male and seasonal. After the recent escalation in public welfare benefits these immigrants were able to stay year around with their families because of the public largess avaliable when the seasonal work stopped.
Do you have any friends who are or are connected with fairly recent immigrants
The vast majority of my friends and neighbors are 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation immigrants.
So, we need to address the individuals already here, and to remove the current incentives enticing foreign nationals to cross our borders in violation of our immigration law. First, benefits to illegally resident foreign nationals need to be terminated. No medical care (except emergency), no public school accessability, no drivers licenses or financial support mechanisms. If they can demonstrate they have the ability to support themselves independently through labor or a sponsor, we need to get them the paperwork to make their stay here legal. If they have no means of support, we arrange for their safe journey back to their home. We need to get these people on the radar, with an incentive to either make themselves known as a financially capable citizen or to go back to Haiti or Ireland or Mexico or Moldovia because all financial support from our tax kitty will no longer be available.
This is not an "invasion". These people don't give a damn about a greater Mexico. The dirty little secret is that most Mexicans LIKE living in Mexico, and would choose to do so if they could live under a free and stable political government and with the hope of prosperity and well being for their families. What is happening now is a natural movement of people seeking economic betterment. They're going to LA, San Diego, Tucson, Phoenix, Houston, San Bernadino, Dallas etc. because that's where the politicans and civil servants give them the money they need to live, money and services superior to those they could enjoy in Mexico, Haiti, Somalia, Cambodia and so on and so on. Politicians they will no doubt vote for in gratitude.
Furthermore, if you think that our country can take this many illegal Mexicans, totally alien to our culture and way of life, then you are mistaken.
Enough with the political correctness. Why do you wish to run Americans out of their communities? Answer the question. Why do you wish to subvert Americans to an alien, third world culture and living conditions? Why do you wish to lower wages? Why do you wish to force Americans to move due to economic conditions?
It's time you answer these questions, for without them, I'll chalk it up to you wishing to Mexicanize the United States of America.
Your talk of hopelessness is nothing more than you claiming that we can't do anything because you do not want the problem to be fixed.
You talk of economic betterment, but is an illegal alien entitled to that? Answer the question. No fluff. Furthermore, what about American citizens? What about their wants and needs? Shouldn't an American Citizen come first? Do not get off topic, please answer the question. Furthermore, what's your opinion on American citizens not wishing to have their culture changed? Why should an American citizen who has worked his whole life to provide for his family, finally paid his home off, retire to a neighborhood that is so alien to what he bought into. Why shouldn't he be entitled to live in an American-like neighborhood. Why should he be cheated out of his rights? Please answer these questions, too. Otherwise, you will be revealed as a possible anti-American, pro-Mexican, pro-Aztlan shill. Perhaps you hire illegal aliens. Who knows. Your comments are definitely misguided.
It's not immgration.
It's non-European immigration.
