With a verdict, it's guilty. If not, I'll eat my new hat! Care for salt and pepper with that????
To: Freakazoid
I base it on the procecution's inability to tell us how the girl was taken from the house. There was no physical evidence that Westerfield was in the house.
Also, the defense did a good job regarding the girls fingerprints in the RV, that she had to be alive to make them. I also think there is a trend of people wanting to blame the parents for their lifestyle with Jury nullification. All that, plus the fact that the jury was out so long, makes me think it's coming back Not guilty.

LOL! And I would laugh a little louder if this wasn't so pathetic. See, we're NEWBIES to the insider info. if we believe the blood, hair and fingerprints MATTER>>>>

"Enough donuts under your belt and it is a snap."
Then its a miracle that the US hasn't become a product of the wild wild west and all mayhem hasn't been loosened.
To: Peach
Not enough evidence? Did you listen to any testimony? Enough to know they had trouble pinning it on him. I think he is guilty, I'm just not sure they convinced the jury.
To: Freakazoid
I'm -guessing- guilty, but wouldn't bet the farm.

Yep, I guess being fact based and gathering information before making a decision is silly when we could just make an emotionally laden decision based on our unwillingness to believe that, yes, there are evil people out there and yes, science can provide factual evidence.
Scary

No, I'm not a flatliner. And I didn't say that Damon killed his daughter. I said that I believe he disposed of her body. I personally have no idea how she died. The prosecution failed to present evidence that proved DW did it. I'm still very open to all possibilities. Your response is the reason why I've only lurked on these threads during this trial.

And you know Westerfield is a good man? How do you know this? Are you in a habit of emotionally supporting pedophiles? Does your hard drive look like Westerfield's hard drive?

The prosecution witnesses said dw had zip disks and cd's with child porn on it as well as adult porn..it's in the transcripts and in articles..and feldman never denied it.

At least two jurors cried after viewing the images found on computer discs police seized in Westerfield's home. Prosecutors showed jurors 17 examples of still images and movies found on compact and zip discs.

THEY HAD SEIZED HIS COMPUTERS. YOU SAW A COUPLE OF PICTURES OF NAKED GIRLS.

IN EACH OF THOSE PICTURES, NOT THE SIX SMALL
16 CHILDREN THAT YOU WERE SHOWN ON DIRECT, THEY'RE THERE, NO ISSUE.
17 BUT THE 1700 OR 1800 OTHER PHOTOS IN ANOTHER NOTEBOOK, AND A
18 NUMBER OF MPEGS, OKAY. WHAT MR. DUSEK REFERRED TO IS WHAT HE
19 CALLED "MEN FORCING THEMSELVES ON YOUNG GIRLS," OKAY,
To: Peach
What was on his harddrive anyway?
Last I checked it was adult porn and anime.
What is it that you have been led to believe?
To: luckodeirish
Yes. Danielle's blood was found on Westerfield's jacket and in the RV. Someone on this thread said there was no blood evidence. They were wrong.

You out there?
To: Freakazoid
NOT GUILTY! Better sauce up that hat!
I think it was the bugs that decided it.
Plus the idea that nobody ever went into the Van Dam home at all, without being invited.
To: wallcrawlr
Because I believe it. The van Dam's should be on trial.

My goodness... you are indeed living in a dream world. So the fact he dropped of his jacket at a cleaners is a fabrication? The fact he lied to police about it is a fabrication? The witnesses who saw him places he claimed he was not were fabrication? You are quite frankly insane. Actually, the fact that he lied about it is a fabrication. The tape of his interview with the police shows that he did tell them about the trip to the dry cleaners, and dropping off clothing there. He didn't list the clothing, but I'd have to say he did tell them about it.
And what witnesses saw him at places he wasn't? The witnesses backed up his version of the trip perfectly. The prosecution claims the trip was sinister in purpose, but the actual route was agreed on by both sides.
All that said, I'll admit I'm expecting a guilty verdict as well. Maybe (I hope), I'm just too pessimistic.

Re your question how did Westerfield get hold of Danielle shows you did not listen to any of the trial. The back garage door was left open all night. Re a motive - he is a pedophile. You are just a disrupter, aren't you? No one else could possibly present such an outlandish defense of this "good man".
