I have mixed feelings about this...As a kid, my parents
took my sister and I to the beach all the time. In the 50's
and 60's it was no big deal....
At age 47....I am battling malignant melanoma...the most deadly form of skin cancer. With all the warnings about
skin cancer out there....maybe this mother used bad
judgement...However, that should not, by itself, be a crime.
On the other hand, I sure wish the information available now had been available when I was growing up.....

Wishing you the best of luck in your battle with MM. I've been down the same road myself and it can be scary. Back in the 60's and 70's when I was growing up there was no sunscreen to use. Can't imagine why this mother couldn't tell her children's faces were blistering though.

Larry, when you were a child, there were no sun blockers. There are today, but at the same time, how much government is too much? We never seem to ask this question anymore. We just go about our hard lives trying to put food on the dinner table, while dreaming about the next vacation.
In light of this case, should parents who over feed their children be prosecuted for a felony because it might harm them in the future?
This Nanny State mentality that even our administration is foisting upon us is very bad news if you want to remain free.

By the way, youll be in our prayers, and I know God does some wonderful things to heal and help us. Because he lives, I have faith that you will recover fully.
