I have been toying with the idea of starting another "McKinney Files" post with something like

"Billy McKinney-- Next?"
"The Slasher Runs Again" ( he's infamous for pulling a knife on another member of the General Assembly! )
"Do you really want this thug as your representative?"

as the title... I'm pondering it today.

We followed Father Bob up to St. Andrews when he left St. Mark's here in town- Emily liked working with him for the decade or so he was priest here, and didn't care much for his replacement. We did belong to the choir at St. Andrews, but her health problems ( ended up needing a plate in her neck! ) caused us to slowly fall out around spring of 2001.

It is indeed a small world- "Shelly" was Emily's first beloved Shetland Sheep Dog when we married in 1984, and when she died in 1993, I really thought I would come home one day to find a bloody corpse, my girl was so profoundly grief-stricken and depressed. We got Taffy shortly thereafter, and it helped- although now she is getting old, as our dog friends do too quickly.

I am, of course, glad that she is still interested in hunting varmints, but I really don't enjoy it when she catches them- the blood, guts, and screeches and barks, and the inevitable stuggle to separate her from her "kill" without getting into a fight with her...

Another bit of looniness from the DUmpster:
Now that I think about it, Cynthia McKinney now has nothing to lose by not sitting down and shutting up.
No one will have control over Cynthia now. She can speak, she can tell the truth, and she can raise holy hell.
If there's one thing Cynthia is good at, it's raising holy hell.
Think about it....Cynthia has a seat in Congress until January. She can now make Shrub's life a living nightmare without impunity!
[sic]
Oh, and Cynthia is a fighter....she'll not go down without a fight.
And, the Democrats are looking for a feisty leader aren't we? Who better than a black woman from the south? A black woman from the south who knows how to tell the world she will not sit down and shut up!!!!
A black woman from the south who has long worked with the likes of Martin Luther King III and Reverend Lowery and civil rights leaders who know how to stage non-violent rallies!
Oh boy - this loss might be the best thing that ever happened to Cynthia McKinney!!!! And US!!!!

The shift in politics goes on. I'm sure most Indians in the area weren't thrilled with her kowtowing for the arab/paki muslim vote and her politics. It's sinking in slowly but the Indians(including Muslims and Christians) have come to the conclusion that Israel is well worth supporting and that this hogwash about the evil jews etc is just that.

Most large cities in the US do have a significant southasian presence in them these days anyway.

And, not content to merely embarass the nation, you embarassed yourself by playing the part of a whore to a man who would just as soon see you in slavery again.

She's completely clueless. She's also out of a job real soon.

;o)

Actually, I suspect that McLooney's loss will force her to get in the public's face more than ever, as she tries to get back into some office or other. She isn't going to just go away any more than the Toon is.
