but this does not mean they are to be emulated for their prevarication any more than the German's were to be emulated for gassing Jews. My thoughts could get me banned, but I'll play nice.
I, nor anyone, said LIE repetitively. Got it?
And in fact, I went to lengths to identify what I meant about learning from those in history. It's sad to see such incomprehensible behavior.
Good day sir!

I, nor anyone, said LIE repetitively. Got it? As a matter of fact, one of the most important "Tips For Dealing With the Media" I remember from the conference was:
"Never lie. If you can't tell the truth, don't say anything at all."
(Sidebar: There is very little difference in a reporter's mind between lying and "misleading").

To anyone who thinks I've accused them of advocating lying as a political tactic, my sincere apologies - in rereading, I can understand how my words might have been construed thusly. My point all along has been that the likes of Begala and Carville have little more to teach us than lying and bullying - and I stand by this sentiment. If anyone had any other salient qualities regarding those two uhh..
gentlemen... in mind, nobody mentioned them in rebuttal. It would be fair to point out that anyone calling themselves a conservative who has heretofore used the abrasive Carville-esque approach in the media (Ann Coulter or Bob Barr come to mind) is still villified and treated as freak by the media. That their message gets "out there" is certainly a mitigating factor, but it remains to be seen whether anything more than "preaching to the choir" is being accomplished.
From the beginning here, I've tried to extract myself from the debate precisely because I wasn't at the FRN conference. I was specifically invited back in to the debate at RedWing9's polite request - I make no apologies for being here. I see it as a personal shortcoming that I felt the need to respond to the ad hominem attacks, I'll work on that.
